Known as the festival of nature and music, the WOOD festival is back this year, with its outstanding musicians, interactive activities, lots of talks and some of the best toilets you’ll ever come across at a festival (Yes, that’s right. They’ve been shortlisted for the Best Toilets at Festivals Award).
The lineup includes Eliza Carthy, Willy Mason, Katy Bennett, The Epstein, Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou and other remarkable eclectic folk artists.
Also on the bill will be lots of workshops, aimed at inspiring a sustainable lifestyle such as wallets made from orange juice cartons and a pedal powered cinema and disco. Other highlights include cabaret, comedy and theatre.
One of the most impressive things about WOOD is that it’s entirely run on renewable energy. From composting toilets, to showers heated by a wood burning stove, to solar powered stages, this festival is really trying to show an alternative, sustainable way of living and partying.
The festival will be taking place over the May 20-22th weekend up in Braziers Park, Oxfordshire. It’s a lovely festival, with a good community vibe and tickets under £100 for 3 days – a steal of a deal! Attendance is limited to 800 people and a third of the tickets have already been sold, so get yours now.
Ps- Last year we went to T in the Park to trial the world’s first biodegradable festival tent. You can find out more about our tent journey here.
