It’s not really a tearful goodbye to the sun and surf of San Francisco (notorious for its foggy and cold July and August). In fact swapping San Francisco summer for winter in Melbourne is almost an equal trade.
KazzaDrask Media will be working and visiting most Australian capital cities for the next month – and making regular “US and Under” posts, along with the usual online culture, hyperlocal and activist stuff that comes my way. Like the cover of this week’s New Yorker – a study in online culture.
When I was a kid – or even back when I used to wear a bikini – no one would have thought it was possible to drop a phone in the pool. Much less how such a feat would probably ruin your life (for a week, at least).
Kathy Drasky regularly writes about online culture. Her marketing and communications work with the ANZA Technology Network, Advance Global Australians and with various Australians and Australian enterprises has led to at least a dozen trips Down Under.
An accomplished digital photographer, her photos have appeared in 7×7 Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle and Google Schmap.
