It may have been on for nearly a month, but I still haven’t made it down to The Fashion Stage at the Twisted Pepper. Taking over the venue every Saturday afternoon, the event offers coffee, cocktails, clothing and cultural delights. With the line-up varying week by week, it should be worth frequent visits.
Tomorrow’s line-up is looking top notch. On the fashion front there is De La Punk (an avant-garde, Japanese street-style inspired line), Woodlane (who pick garments from the best young designers in Europe) and Eevie (whose vintage-inspired womenswear is delightfully twee). However it’s not just clothing The Fashion Stage is good for. Photographer SCatti, literary group Seven Towers and one of my fave illustrators, Dave Comiskey, will all also be there.
Bearing in mind it’s just a stone’s throw from Henry Street (hello, Forever 21), I think this event should provide the perfect opportunity to recharge with a Mojito during a hard day’s shopping… without, you know, missing out on any shopping.
