For some reason, I keep noticing Laverie Libres in Paris…..does that mean there are free laundromats for French citizens should they not have enough Euros to clean their clothes? Just curious. I noticed it on unknown and known streets more than once.
On another note, a Cirrus bank machine ate my card today along St. Germain. While one of the more commercially known streets in Paris — in other words, full of Americans and other foreigners — no one in the bank spoke English. Alas, my poorly accented French pulled me through, and my card was retrieved, although three others I ran into outside the bank were not so lucky.
