Meet Beyond Yoga, a brand of luxury athleisure we discovered recently. They tout that they create clothing that fits all shapes and sizes because in their words, “they believe that confidence is not a size, but a state of mind.” As a result, they offer sizes from XXS to XXL, only using non-retouched photography to promote real women’s bodies.
From mesh insets, striking prints, lush textures and bold cutouts, they offer a wide range of clothing for workouts, yoga, lounging around the house or casual nights out. Their leggings and sweatshirt jackets are great for traveling as well.
Truth be told, the latter is one of the reasons we wanted to highlight several of their offerings when we were given a chance to test them out. And, because they have a boat loada fun colors and designs beyond what you typically find from yoga and workout clothing.
It’s one of the reasons they term their offerings as “luxury athleisure” and we couldn’t agree more.
Let’s take a look at some of the items we got in to test out, which include leggings, an Origami Cardigan and a couple of tops.
Olympus High Waisted Midi Legging
We love these fun chic marble print leggings they have this season — they offer it as a high waisted midi and with another variation as well. What’s nice about this piece is that there are no outside seams and it sits at a natural waist.
The material is so comfy (75% Polyester / 25% Spandex) as well and has a four-way stretch with great retention. They come in two different color combos, however we loved the black/white marble motif for the holiday season.
Prefer a more capri style legging?
Flip It And Reverse It High Waisted Capri Legging
Their Digital Lotus collection offers a reversible high waisted capri made from Double Knit and Fit fabric, which feels light and tight for a body-hugging fit. Having a reversible item in your luggage when you’re traveling couldn’t be more convenient — double the studio-to-street looks with just one piece.
The reversible capri is print on one side (as shown below) and solid black on the other side. Like the Olympus leggings, there are no outside seams which makes them look more elegant than most active gear you’ll find on the market.
Not a black and white gal? If you want more color, Beyond Yoga has you covered there as well since many of their leggings and capri workout/yoga pants have a number of fun color options. We love this pink Spacedye Stacked and Sliced High Waisted Midi Legging. Elegant, fun, chic and comfortable!
Easy Rider Origami Cardigan
The Beyond Yoga Easy Rider pieces are made from exceptionally soft and luxurious Cozy Fleece fabric with moto-inspired details and it comes in a few different colors. There’s a dropped shoulder with long sleeves and patch pockets at the front. The one below is shown in Aviator Green. I can vouch for their super soft promise – we absolutely love this piece!
Sheer Illusion Tank
Also in Aviator Green is this fabulous sheer illusion tank with an oh so fun back. This tank by Beyond Yoga features a flattering elongated length and sheer banded strap details. It hangs low at the hip, and is chic enough to wear out for a casual day sightseeing.
They use supplex for this tank, which is an ultra-soft, moisture-wicking performance fabric (90% Supplex /10% Spandex). The great thing about this fabric is that it provides generous stretch and full recovery, retaining color and shape after every wash. But, it’s also super soft and has a four way stretch.
Travelers will love its moisture wicking aspect as well as the fact that it dries so quickly, a godsend when you’re on the road. Imagine this piece with a denim pair of shorts or black leggings when you’re out seeing the sights in your favorite city.
Beyond Yoga Ombre Travel Lightweight Racerback Tank
We fell in love with this cotton sleeveless top, which can be worn for a workout but is also a fun top you can wear out casually. It’s oh so chic and made from their the Beyond Yoga buttery soft Spacedye.
This particular choice has a lovely neutral color combo which creates a lovely athleisure look. This piece has a classic racerback, with a slim fit and low hip length. One of the things we noticed about it right away was just how light it was (great for travelers) and it also works well as a layering piece and doesn’t seem to wrinkle when you roll it up in a suitcase. The same can be said with the leggings we currently have in for review.
This racerbank tank is made from 94% Polyester and 6% Spandex, so it’s machine washable like all of the clothing from Beyond Yoga.
It comes in a few different color combos but we loved this soft rosy red and gray combo the best.
And, how about the backs of some of their other yoga tops? I love the stylish back of this lightweight and open up tank which comes in a couple of colors as well.
Two more fabulous backs….
And….this one!
Behind Beyond Yoga
We love that the two founders are both women: Jodi Guber Brufsky and Michelle Wahleris.
For more information, be sure to visit their website for their latest offerings. Their Spring collection is coming out soon and we hope to review some of their newer items for the next season. Two thumbs up!
