Here’s another great clothes swapping website for those of you who love new clothes but hate waste. Sorted by designer label, the Refashioner website deals only in clothes of a higher ilk so those of you with a particular sense for high fashion don’t need to worry that you’ll get a dud in return for that Gucci dress.
Refashioner sets itself apart from others on another level too, as, instead of having to wait for your items to be taken before you can claim anyone else’s, you can get your hands on any clothes you’re after as soon as you’ve put at least one item of your clothes up on the website. When you sign up for the website the clothes that you want to get rid of are valued in “Redollars”, then you are credited 50% of this to spend on other people’s pre-loved clothing, and you’ll get the other half of the money when your item sells.
Aside from being able to search by label, you can also search by type of clothing item and there is even a sale section. You earn a ruby on your account for every time one of your items reaches another user but a stain if you fail to send an item, list it inaccurately or are rude! To make the site even more user-friendly, if you take a shining to a particular Refashioner’s closet you can link with him/her. You can also make a wishlist of specific items which will alert you when these come in.
Check out the Refashioner website for exact instructions on how it all works and get yourself a sustainably stylish get-up.
If that’s just not enough for you, have a butcher’s at our 7 other ways to get clothes swapping.
