A little while ago, I wrote about a Forum for the Future Project “Gatecrashing the Energy Sector“. The aim of this project is to get people thinking about different ways of plugging out and plugging into better electricity. After months of suggestions, ideas generation and discussion, Forum’s expert panel of judges (Jamie Arbib, Chris Bowden, Juliet Davenport and Jason Mollring) have shortlisted 5 ideas that have a chance to go on to get developed, with one brilliant idea winning some seed funding from the The Tellus Mater Foundation to help get it up and going.
What bright idea would you like to see go through? See anything that has potential to spark a low-carbon energy revolution? The shortlisted ideas include a Energy Futures incubator, an open source smart grid project, a web based platform for community energy to connect and develop, the creation of an independent lobbying platform and an electric vehicle load balancing pilot. The judges will only put through 4 of the ideas so have a look and comment and vote on the idea you’d like to see get put through. If you are up for a challenge, you can also sign up to attend the workshop on October 21st and help develop one of the ideas.
