The Viceroy L’Ermitage, Your Luxury Stay in Beverly Hills

Comments Off on The Viceroy L’Ermitage, Your Luxury Stay in Beverly Hills

Imagine a property in the heart of Beverly Hills with spectacular views, a fitness center, luxury spa, an amazing roof top pool and modern suites with soaking tubs? Meet the luxury Viceroy L’Ermitage, a luxury traveler’s stay next time you head to the Los Angeles area.

When we arrived in Beverly Hills on our recent luxury escape, I took a walk down memory lane. I recalled all the trips I made to LA on business over the years. Most of my trips involved late night dinners and drinks with clients before or after an important show in the area.

The gatherings were always full of entertainment and tech types and we were always networking in some of Los Angeles’ best bars and restaurants, including Beverly Hills. We rarely had time to breathe it all in and appreciate our surroundings.

Not the case on this Beverly Hills trip, which was focused on cultural exploration, relaxing and unwinding and dining at some of the area’s greatest hot spots. Be sure to see my restaurant picks in our Beverly Hills Food Guide for some of our favorites.

Avec Nous at the Viceroy L’Ermitage

We experienced breakfast on two mornings at Avec Nous, which is located on the ground floor of the hotel.

There’s nothing like starting your day with a full pot of Earl Grey tea, some fresh yoghurt, berries and a protein heavy cooked dish, like an omelet or eggs with a green, like spinach.

We tend to shy away from complex carbs, so the lobster omelet with a side of mushrooms was the perfect choice for us.

Outside, the hotel stands tall on a main drag called Burton Way, a wide avenue in a Beverly Hills residential neighborhood. Bell men are there to take care of your every need upon arrival.

This upscale property sits away from some of the busiest luxe properties in Beverly Hills, which means more privacy and solitude.

Although the Viceroy L’Ermitage is in a quieter neighborhood, it is still only a half-mile from the decadent Rodeo Drive shops and the Paley Center For Media’s screening rooms, which are both must do’s when heading to the Beverly Hills area.

The Suites @ Viceroy L’Ermitage

The suites at the Viceroy L’Ermitage are elegant, sophisticated and modern with Asian-inspiration throughout. The colors and ambiance are bright and airy, with added light wood accents, all of which add to the decor’s serenity.

The suite we had was around 650 square feet and included a lovely plush Italian-style corner sofa and a comfy king bed with Sferra imported linens from Italy. They have a spacious business desk with USB ports and additional plug-ins (tons of additional plug-ins vis a vis other hotels – we were impressed) so you can stay connected while traveling.

I loved the spacious dressing room with vanity area and full length tri-panel mirror – bravo!!!  Anthony loved the massive Samsung flat screen TV with Bose Speakers and Nespresso coffee machine. And, the bathroom was my kinda bathroom, with plenty of room at the sinks, a separate soaking tub and shower.

As for amenities, they offer everything you’d expect for a 5 star hotel, such as 24/7 in-room dining, complimentary Wi-Fi, marble bathrooms, soaking tubs and private balconies.

Like the Montage where we started our trip, the Viceroy L’Ermitage includes local car service and a drink at check-in. The on-site Italian restaurant focuses on locally sourced ingredients although we didn’t have a chance to sample any of their dishes, so can’t speak to their dinners, but as noted above, our breakfasts at Avec Nous were delicious.

The Rooftop Pool & Views

There’s also a gym, which is a must for us when we travel and the best feature of the hotel in my opinion: the heated rooftop pool with cabanas and spectacular city views.

Viceroy L’Ermitage Roof Deck For Private Parties

This other side of the roof top pool area offers a grassy area with tables and umbrellas for private functions. Imagine a cocktail party on the roof here with impeccable views of Beverly Hills and beyond.

Although you’ll notice that we had a couple of cloudy days during our stay in October, the weather was still warm and lovely. And, the cloud coverage didn’t take away from the beauty of the city views in all directions.

Viceroy L'Ermitage

This all-suite hotel boasts 116 newly renovated suites. The Viceroy L’Ermitage is your choice if you want a combination of sophisticated legendary elegance and privacy.

Since 2001, Viceroy L’Ermitage Beverly Hills has earned the dual designation of the Forbes 5 Star and AAA Five Diamonds awards.

Two thumbs up!
