Tofutilla, say what? I was wandering around a local farmer’s market and I came across this vendor with unique soy products. He had smoked tofu, spicy tofu, soy pasta and you name it! One of the more interesting items he had was a tofu sheet cut into a circle and ingeniously named tofutilla.
He was handing out samples of vegan wraps using the tofutillas which sold me on these Silpat looking tofu sheets. I also thought it would be an interesting thing to share with yall even though I’m not sure how you could get these unless you can order from this guy. Tofuyu There are many interesting tofu products listed under the “Tofu Creations” tab.
I think if I got these again, I would try steaming or cooking them first because they were a little tough to use as is. It might even be interesting to make a tofutilla quesadilla.
There are 6 tofutillas in a package.
They are about the size of my hand. Zoom in and you can see the texture.
Tofutilla ready to be stuffed.
I made vegetarian and vegan tofutilla wraps with a miso sauce.
