Anything Can Be Healed
In this incredible read by Martin Brofman, Anything Can Be Healed addresses the Body Mirror System of Healing with our Chakras. This is a new edition of the classic practical manual for utilizing the chakra system as a body/mind interface for effective energetic healing.
Brofman starts with an inner exploration of the physical body but not just in our physical form or even related to emotions as a separate piece, but as a mirror of our consciousness, which goes beyond emotions and psychological aspects. Sure, the symptoms we feel in our body reflect inner stresses in our emotional being, our mind, and/or our Higher Self but he takes it a step further.
He dives into each chakra and includes an energetic meditation for each one as well as practical energy exercises. Throughout the book, you get tons of assistance for right brain thinkers. Rather than just provide the data, Brofman makes it easy to understand and correlate to, by including color reference charts of the chakras and their associated vibrations.
Also explained are our overall chakra systems, layers of the aura, senses, and areas of consciousness. Blending Western psychology and Eastern philosophies, he focuses on something he refers to as the Body Mirror System. He explains how the chakra system connects to both mind and body to form a body/mind interface, allowing us to read the physical body as a mirror of the consciousness within, track the route from symptom to cause, and then work on releasing the causes on all levels.
We also learn how certain tensions or symptoms on the physical level reflect corresponding tensions in one’s consciousness about specific issues in life–the inner cause to the outer symptom. The author explains how healing the symptom needs to involve not only releasing the tension on the physical level, but also letting go of the stressful way of interacting with the environment. Thus, “the process of healing always implies a process of transformation.”
Each chakra plays a role in the body, so we learn ways to be more clear and connect the chakras, and in doing so, how to connect to the Cosmos. Yup, the Cosmos, which includes things like thought forms, dream states, time travel, and past lives and how tapping into all of this can assist in your healing process. He asserts that thought forms, white light, and love are powerful and that distance matters now — distant healing is real and he talks about how to perform it, using examples, practical exercises, meditations and more.

The Tablets of Light
Danielle Rama Hoffman reveals the teachings of Thoth on Unity Consciousness in her ever so engaging read called The Tablets of Light. For those not familiar with Thoth, he is connected to the Akashic Records, writing and knowledge.
Historically, Thoth is also known as the Egyptian god of writing, magic, wisdom, and the moon. It is said that Thoth was one of the most important gods of ancient Egypt alternately (either self-created or born of the seed of Horus from the forehead of Set). We have a statue of him and he is shown as a man with a head of an ibis — his feminine counterpart was Seshat, and his wife was Ma’at.
This book is said to be channelings from Thoth, whose main goal is centered around and focused upon Awakening to a Higher Consciousness, one of which is united, where we are all interconnected and one.
This was the first time I had read about oracular vision related to spiritual awakening and seeing beyond what we know and can explain in a linear world and I loved how the information was conveyed and the examples which were cited made it approachable and accessible. By awakening and using your oracular vision as a doorway, you can expand your levels and layers of consciousness.
For example, oracular vision involves the way you hold awareness, energy, perspective, light, and consciousness to funnel in new ways of being. Says Danielle (remembering that this was channeled), “as the light bearer, the way shower, the oracular vision holder, the carrier of infinite knowledge that you are, we are reminding you of a much-acquired skill that you have had from past incarnations, which is actually quite powerful and potent at this time.” They are of course speaking of oracular vision among other things.
The book overall is very much a read of activations. By this, I mean that there are words, phrases and knowledge which we all hold at a DNA level, which will “wake up” in ourselves if you will. In this way, we can re-establish what they refer to as quantum consciousness, which is beyond, beyond, beyond what we can even fathom with our limited linear minds. They attempt to scramble old ways of thinking so you can remember some of your more powerful gifts at a Soul level and activate what they refer to as your Divine Light Body.
It is said that Higher Dimensional Beings are light beings, made of light and many have no physical form and are pure energy. Think Sirians and beyond. This I believe is what they are referring to in the book. Through this Light Body activation and soul remembrance, you can access spiritual energy technologies. By this, they mean ancient wisdom we once had and have forgotten. This ‘forgetting’ keeps you from your Soul’s Purpose in a way as without that knowing, you are simply living a diluted version of yourself.
Their focus is away from separation consciousness and into unity consciousness. Engaging you in a multidimensional conversation directly with Thoth, each tablet transmission in this book includes embedded light codes of high vibrational energy and consciousness, which activate hidden keys to conscious evolution within your soul. It’s all about leaving behind outdated ways of being, such as acting from fear and being restrained by self-consciousness. They include breathing exercises, hologram-inspired visualizations, and unity consciousness practices. You can go over and grab it on Amazon.
Decoding the Enochian Secrets
This original text with commentary by John DeSalvo and Enochian Secrets as channeled by Dr. John Dee, is the knowledge if you like of The Book of Enoch. Says the author, the Book of Enoch never made it into the canon of accepted books of the Old Testament because of its mysterious content about Enoch’s experiences in the higher realms.
According to the book, the actual Book of Enoch (which is a set of almost 100 mystical tables) came out in the 1580’s when it was conveyed to Dr. John Dee, a 16th century mathematician, scientist, occultist and the astrologer of Queen Elizabeth I. Truth be told, I so would have loved to have met her.
This book aims to reproduce those tables, which apparently are housed in the British Library. DeSalvo dives into these tables and talks about the difference between them and the apocyphal Book of Enoch. He also explains how they were used later on by magicians such as Aleister Crowley.
In this very thorough read are meditations as well as rituals. Think of it as magic explained through these tables and some of the inherent wisdom held with these texts. Linguists will also love this read as there are tons of photos of these tables in the book and explanations of some of the symbols as well as the text. So fascinating.
In one part of the book, they explain a channeling from Angel Gabriel who was channeling poignant ancient wisdom to Dee way back when. He asserts that some of the most important information conveyed was the Thirty Calls of the Aethyrs (or Æthyrs). It is thought by some to be Enochian Angel-Magic, which is a system of initiation in high magic. Aleister Crowley was the first human that is said to have opened all thirty Æthyrs and dictated his visions.
Research digs up that each of these so called Æthyrs are reigned by three or four angels, also referred to in some places as the governors. Those into Shamanic Journeying may have delved into some of this (lower and upper worlds) — could it be that these tables are somehow linked to matrix of the time-space-illusion that we live in here on the Earth plane? DeSalvo believes that some of what was conveyed to Dee by the angel Gabriele was that this Enochian Magic is infallible and from God. Historians and religious scholars will likely also find it compelling. Order it on Amazon. Another book by DeSalvo and related is The Lost Art of Enochian Magic, which you can also find on Amazon.
Here, DeSalvo traces the history of magic–from the earliest civilizations of the Akadians and Egyptians through the Greco-Roman period and up to the present time–to reveal how magic has penetrated and influenced our religious beliefs and practices today. Included in the book are what is referred to as “Enochian calls,” which act like mantras in opening higher realms and invoking angels, which is apparently an important and integral part of this practice. DeSalvo shows how to use Enochian magic for personal spiritual development and also as protection from negative energies. In addition to providing detailed instructions for performing the magical meditations, this book includes a CD of Enochian calls to demonstrate and guide the correct pronunciation needed to practice Enochian magic.
The Infinite Wisdom of the Akashic Records
A thorough but quick read on the Akashic Records, is The Infinite Wisdom of the Akashic Records by Lisa Barnett. She’s a pro and long established practitioner who has been holding courses and teaching seminars for decades.
For those not familiar with them, think of the Akashic Records as a massive domain of energetic imprints. Many practitioners who access it for themselves and others, often say that it is much like a movie library. Imagine that there’s a living vibrational field that stores all of your lives, past, present and future as well as you could say, potential possibilities and outcomes of the present, the past and the future.
While we’ve been familiar with the Akash and how to access it for awhile now, what we love about Lisa’s book is how easy she makes it — in other words, her gift at teaching people easily and simply makes it so much more accessible to people. I’ve talked to people who find the process complicated or even fearful, when it’s this beautiful wisdom that it’s out there for us we can tap into — there’s nothing scary about it. In fact, the more you know about your Higher Self through understanding past lives and things that no longer serve you that you may be hanging onto, the sooner you can begin to live a balanced and abundant life.
She teaches people what she calls an Akashic Knowing Wisdom Prayer System, which is a five-step system with three vibrational keys to get you into the Akashic Records. She covers the do’s and don’ts as well so you don’t find yourself in a situation where you haven’t ‘closed’ out of the Akashic Records and are trying to do something that requires your full attention. If you weren’t trained correctly, you may not even know how important it is to actually close out of the records. Think of it this way: if you go into a different dimension to access information but don’t properly close out, you may find yourself half in one dimension and half in another — this can be draining on the body and also disorientating for some.
The Akashic Records or as some refer to as the Akash are full of infinite wisdom and we can all access it with proper training. The basics of getting into the Akashic Records are not as complicated as many think and with the proper intention and guidance, you can use the information to lead a fuller life. One of the things we really love about her writing style is the combination of her candidness, authenticity and humor. Because she has so many years of experience, she has also learned from mistakes early on in her career, which came about from not asking or being aware of the types of questions you should ask. This is an art and skill you develop over time but essentially, the smarter and clearer the question, the better the outcome. The same applies to a trained psychologist who over time, has learned to ask clients better questions. Experience leads to excellence.
Lisa talks about the art of formulating better questions so you receive answers that aren’t just useful, but life-enhancing if not transformative in some cases. The book also talks about ways to release karma, soul contracts, and vows that may bind you to negative life patterns, as well as ways to gain further clarity about personal situations. She cites examples from her own work over the years as well as provides useful exercises along the way.
We know Lisa personally and are fans of her work — she’s so passionate about what she does that it rubs off on you even if the topic isn’t of interest to you personally. Lisa teaches dynamic and powerful short-cuts for accessing the Akashic Records both internationally and locally in the United States. You can find it over on Amazon.
Opening the Akashic Records
Not quite as known is Opening the Akashic Records, because it’s a new book that just came out this Spring. Author of Waking up in 5D (which we covered earlier this year) Maureen J. St. Germain is the author of this engaging read on the Akashic Records and how to meet your Record Keepers.
This book is more of a manual with precise instructions for accessing the Akashic Records and confirming the accuracy of the information you receive, which is a new twist. Truth be told, we have to trust our own inherent wisdom and the information we receive but its important to stay in balance and make sure we check our own personal agendas with what our Higher Self and Soul wants – in other words, we need to get out of the way to ensure the information is pure and best for our soul.
Maureen includes exercises, tools, and techniques to clear the energies blocking your access and tune to your Akashic Record Keepers. Many of us are not aware that we can all access this information so unveiling what gets in our way is a super useful revelation. She covers things she calls markers, which better allow you to recognize your Record Keepers in a way that validates the information you receive, rather than “trusting” it to be true.
There are ways to access the Akashic Records for yourself and for others and she covers both, including how to ask the right questions and how to handle the information which comes in, so you can best relay it to others in a way that is most useful and helpful.
What’s wild and hard to imagine in our linear way of looking at the world, is that the vast library of the Akash takes our quantum realities into account. Let’s face it — in a quantum world, there is no ‘real’ past or future – it’s all happening simultaneously. And your future self can affect your present self as well as another YOU existing on another dimension. Mind boggling, right?
The useful thing about tapping into their power says Maureen is that you can discover information about you and your loved ones, and learn your soul’s purpose. She also explains how outside energies can influence your connection to these records and how to clear the energy and blockages so you can get there with ease. Given her own experience with (and writing of) 5D realities, she weaves this into the book, speaking of a 5D mindset, which will provide more accuracy and a stronger connection.
While some assert that past lives create karma in existing lives, many of it negative. What if you could clear that karma? Would if rather than worry about the karma you’ll be digging up from a past life can simply be cleared and used for soul growth and a more fulfilled life. Using them the right way, you can amplify your spirituality and operate at a higher level in consciousness. She asserts as do many spiritual teachers and authors we work with: “your work on a Soul Level (including your work in the Akashic Records) aids and assists in Earth’s ascension. The Book on Shamanic Healing
An oldie but a goodie is the Book of Shamanic Healing by Kristin Madden. It’s been around for awhile, but quite honestly, any great insight and advice on Shamanic ways and practices are as relevant today as they’ve ever been.
Think of it as a complete “healer’s toolkit” for shamanic practitioners. Along with an in-depth discussion of the theories, practices, and ethics of shamanic healing work, this guide gives you first-hand accounts of healing experiences as well as exercises to help you develop your skills and abilities, and ceremonies to use in your own practice.
Some of the Shamanic How To’s included in the book include things like sacred space, what it is, how to create it and how to set up healing ceremonies in a sacred space. We love drums over here (see our write-up on fascinating drum makers you should know and why) and it’s not an unknown among spiritual seekers that sound is incredibly healing not to mention transformative, especially with Shamanic Drumming.
Kristin covers how to use your drum to create healing both for yourself and for others. She covers ways to learn about your own innate intuitive gifts we all have, uncovering what your psychic and shamanic gifts may be and of course, how to hone them.
Also in the book are power songs and how to use them in ceremony, as well as how to communicate with your spirit guides. We all have spirit guides, so tapping into their incredible wisdom is an ability we all have as humans.
You can’t read a book on Shamanism without exploring the shadow side as well as what many refer to as the darker night of the soul. We all have this, go through it and can come through the other side as stronger more evolved human beings. All of this helps you to connect to the Universe and all its incredible wisdom, so you can better live in balance. From dreams, drums, stones, crystals, colors, and music, she has you covered as well as how to perform soul retrievals and extractions safely. Find this great read over on Amazon.
The Healing Wisdom of Mary Magdalene
In this beautiful book by Jack Angelo, we learn about the Gnostic Gospels. Through these important texts, we learn just how visionary Mary Magdalene was for her time. Her work and importance was buried by the Catholic Church as well as other scholars from way back when.
Angelo brings in 20 years of research into this book, which has led to a Fourth Gospel, which is said to be a direct transcription of Mary Magdalene’s teachings. There has been a lot of work out there which has uncovered similar truths — how her work and importance was hidden and buried by other disciples.
From miracles that Jesus performed to seven key steps for personal transformation and healing, you are taken on a journey throughout this book. One example that Angelo brings up in the book of a shamanic healing is when Jesus was said to heal a blind man. In this process, he spit on clay and smeared the paste over the man’s eyes — the author talks about the deeper meaning here about ‘perceiving with the eyes of the heart.’
Our own spirit guides talk all the time about the need for balanced masculine and feminine energy here on the Earth and how it’s been so out of balance for so long. Jack Angelo echos this cry and this need, showing how Mary’s heart-centered teachings embody the resurgence of feminine energy that is quite frankly, long long overdue.
Like others who speak of the awakening happening around the globe to come to Gaia’s aid, it will be this resurgence of feminine energy that will save the day, as we are in such need to restore balance to the psyche and health of humanity as well as to the Earth itself. It’s such a wonderful read and can be found on Amazon.
The Sophia Code
The Sophia Code by Kaia Ra is considered to be a visionary sacred text for the Divine Feminine Christ movement which is being spearheaded by strong feminine voices worldwide and is getting stronger.
It is said that this book is a living transmission encoded with direct revelations on how to actually activate your role for humanity’s awakening. This plays to the ascension process (we have written about this many times before), moving from a denser 3D world reality we exist in now to a Fifth Dimension reality, which is said to be of Higher Consciousness.
Kaia Ra explains The Sophia Code cosmology as a universal blueprint for embodying the return of Divine Feminine Christ Consciousness. In our own work, we have been explained that the Christ Consciousness is of Divine Love and this is ultimately what it represents — it’s an energy which encircles Earth but also other planets as well.
In her book, Ra hopes that this transmission will activate the crystalline chromosomes of all of our divine genomes for embodying the sovereignty of our Higher Selves. In this fascinating read, she features the heroic life stories and so called “Keycode Initiations” of female Ascended Masters such as Hathor, Green Tara, Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, Quan Yin, and White Buffalo Woman. These are of course, the female spiritual leaders and masters most people will resonate with across the globe.
Included are downloaded Divine Feminine revelations from the Ascended Masters, orders of angels, and Star Nations for embodying your Higher Self. Sophia’s ‘said’ highest seraphim are meant to be something she refers to as The Sophia Dragons, who are Creatrix Mothers and angelic guides for actualizing your sovereignty. Kaia Ra is a well known Divine Feminine teacher, speaker, ceremonialist, medicine woman, and community leader teaching The Sophia Code channeling modality worldwide. Having survived multiple near death experiences, she also leads something called The Heaven on Earth Prayer Collective. Another intriguing read, find it over on Amazon.
What Your Aches & Pains are Telling You
Subtitled Cries of the Body, Messages from the Soul, this great read by Michel Odoul talks about self-healing and how if we only listen to our body, we can bring ourselves into balance and harmony. Says Odoul, “physical complaints such as allergies, fever, sore throat, inflammation, cysts, backaches, migraines, sinus problems, dizzy spells and more, are signs of deeper tensions that are seeking expression.”
He reveals the precise correspondences between specific emotional and mental tensions and the illnesses and traumas of the body, explaining how physical complaints–energetic disturbances that lead to ailments or chronic conditions–are your Soul speaking to you. Ain’t that the truth? We find this in our work as well — emotional and energetic fields are so so related to our physical well-being.
It’s as if you’re Soul is trying to tell you and what you need to work through emotionally. The book explores the Yin-Yang energetic correspondences of the body: the Yang axis of the shoulders, the Yin axis of the hips, and the Yin-Yang maternal/paternal connections. Acupuncture and massage practitioners will find this read fascinating….any light worker, really.
It’s no secret that our body speaks TO US and wants to HELP us — we simply need to pay attention. Drawing on 20 years of experience and several thousand individual consultations with patients, Michel Odoul shows the “proof” of this lies in the clear correspondences between emotional and mental tensions and specific ailments.
Using specific examples, he explains how skin conditions may reflect difficulties with aggression from the outside world and knee problems indicate inflexibility or tension in relationships. He shows not only how each side of the body has specific meanings and connections to emotions, relationships, and family but also how the upper and lower halves of the body have specific connections–together forming four quadrants with unique Yin-Yang balances, where Yin represents emotional issues and Yang represents action/inaction. He also explores the role of the meridians of Chinese medicine in distributing emotional and mental energy throughout the body. There’s so much WOW in this book! Find this read over on Amazon.
Healing Body Meditations
So artfully and creatively done, this book brings in 30 different mandalas which can be used to enhance your health and well-being. Written by Mike Annesley with Steve Nobel, the art work throughout weaves you into serenity alone.
Included in the book is a set of 30 beautiful color mandalas for meditation, based on the natural miracle of the human body, focusing on the heart, the eyes, the lungs, the skin, and other organs and systems. Says the author, “meditating on these specially commissioned designs enables us to draw upon our hidden inner springs of vitality, to help us restore our being to wholeness and balance, as well as to address specific health concerns – including headaches and migraines, joint stiffness, fatigue and anxiety symptoms, and chronic aches and pains.”
It is not new that meditation can help with a myriad of things from anxiety and depression to physical ailments. So, while it is far from new that meditation is said to help heal the body, this book offers a unique focus on body organs and systems and meditations that are specific to each.
In the book, the authors aim to provide the optimum basis for natural healing based on some systems and meditations to improve your health and emotional state of being as well. It encourages positive acceptance of the body and its processes which is so missing in the world today.
We love the section called Playing Strings and Drums since it taps into the power of music, which we fully support. For example, there’s a meditation on the music we can make, with our own singing and sayings, as well as our thoughts and feelings about others and the things we do for them. How cool is that? This section is intended to inspire those who might be unable to hopefully just for a while, sing for joy! This made us smile of course.
Each section tells you how to sit before turning your attention to a specific mandala and then how to gaze at it and what to focus on to go inward, for example. A beautiful quote here is “Truly to sing, that is a different breath.” by Rainer Maria Rilke. There’s also a beautiful section on Tuning into Femininity — they use a Celtic Fertility Symbol (flower-like cup) sitting on leaves as the image in the mandala for this particular meditation. It is meant to suggest receptivity and benevolent giving of womanhood with protective hands of love. Find this very visual and interactive book over on Amazon.
Essential Oils for Mindfulness & Meditation
In this beautiful book by Heather Dawn Godfrey, we learn about the power of essential oils. Their usefulness is as ancient as it gets — the oldest sages of our time used essential oils for healing and mindfulness, but it wasn’t until the last couple of decades have they re-emerged as a popular and nature go-to for minor ailments, relaxation and yes, mindfulness.
One of our favorite essential oils was even mentioned in the Bible: frankincense, although it dates back much further than that. It has been used to symbolize intention, stimulate awareness of our spiritual selves and to accentuate rite and ritual. It is not just our favorite but a favorite of many light workers and healers we know.
The author explains various simple practices you can easily do at home to get in touch with yourself through meditation and mindfulness while also using the power of healing essential oils.
She also includes scientific research on the restorative, rehabilitative, and psycho-emotional healing benefits of essential oils and how scent itself can trigger uncovered emotions, or trigger you/move you into a higher state of consciousness and awareness. We love this analogy because while it isn’t something you can measure after a one time or short time use, here’s the thing to consider. How well do you feel after sitting in a quiet room while one of your favorite essential oil scents is burning or oozing into the air?
Godfrey covers a variety of different places (and reasons) why you’d want to use essential oils for healing and overall improved well-being in your life. From peaceful feelings and emotions to our neutral pathways, she covers it. She also dives into anxiety, stress, concentration, the quality of our breath, the endocrine system, the brain and other things we deal with daily. You can get it on Amazon.
Stones of the Goddess
We can’t help ourselves — we love love love new books on gemstones and crystals. While we still refer to our standard Go-To’s (and the bible – aka Judy Hall) often, we love learning about new practitioners wisdom and experiments with gemstones.
They work differently for different people so it’s always useful to read about new guides. This one particularly focuses on Crystals for the Divine Feminine, so how could we say no to reading this one?
Released this year, this wonderful guide by Nicholas Pearson centers around the gemstones and crystals connected to Goddess energy for magick, healing, and transformation. This beautiful book has tons of colored images throughout and explores more than 100 Goddess-centered stones and crystals, including some of our favorites for healing, love, clarity and rejuvenation, such as Amazonite, Amethyst, and Lemurian Seed Crystals.
While he does cover some of the more common crystals we all know and love, he also dives into rarer ones we don’t come across every day such as Birthing Stones, Thundereggs, Geodes, Sakura Stone and Yeh Ming Zhu (crikey, I am at gemstone fairs and shows all the time and have never come across these two).
There’s also Carnelian, which we have used in rituals a lot, largely for representing the Base/Root Chakra and to represent FIRE in more pagan rituals. But, did you know that Carnelian is also known as the blood of Isis?
Pearson goes into the details each stone’s astrological and elemental correspondences, as well as the Goddess archetypes, healing properties, magickal uses, and aspects of the Divine Feminine that each one embodies. We love how he includes instructions for Goddess-centered rituals, guided meditations, and spells as well as how to create Goddess-centered crystal grids and crystal elixirs, the latter of which are rarely included in the crystal books we have read and reviewed in the past. Wouldn’t you want to try the Aphrodite Elixir and Yemayá Essence for example? Some of the grids he shows you how to build include something referred to as the Triple Goddess Grid as well as the Venus Grid.
With the rebirth of the Goddess now happening after millennia (or more) of suppression, the book focuses on Goddess stones you can use to restore the radiant light of the Divine Feminine, all of which is aimed at personal growth and healing as well as for that of the planet itself. This great read can be found over on Amazon.
Crystals for Positive Manifestation
It’s no secret that we love gemstones and crystals around here and I use them for healing and alignment all the time — plus, they’re beautiful to have around. What’s not to love about colorful and vibrant gemstones which hold tremendous energy? Sarah Bartlett has compiled a a practical source book of 100 Crystals for Positive Manifestation.
From love, success, well-being, your home and good fortune, she covers them. She also covers Manifestation Basics so you can be aware of what to do to manifest, starting with yourself and your belief systems.
Gratitude of course is always part of any healthy manifestation process and she includes basics and more about gratitude to guide you to creative ‘creating’ and useful boards you can create.
There’s practical advice as well as how to use crystals for a variety of things around abundance, such as a blossoming and harmonious home — we all want that after all. She even gives practical exercises to reach your goals as well as how they can be used for manifesting your dreams, but also for the basics: divination and healing. There’s also magic mantra rituals as well as affirmations and mantras around specific intentions you may have and how to get there — the rituals help get you there.
You’ll also details on the crystals themselves. For example, she dives into the color (appearance of each) as well as how and where to find it (its rarity as well) and where it corresponds to you both emotionally and physiologically. For example Blue Tourmaline is said to correspond to the skin and immune system and the emotional correspondence is attitude (positive, etc). Some blue crystals and gemstones we personally love to work with include Blue Sapphire, Lapis Lazuli as well as Blue Kyanite, such a magical and mystical stone.
Amazonite for example, exudes love and communication with its blue, turquoise and green color tones. It’s meant to correspond to our nervous system, whereas Bronzite for example (I love the grounded-nature of this stone) corresponds to the circulatory system. Other like crystals (in color) include Smoky Quartz and Tiger’s Eye, both of which we use on our crystal grids all the time.
And, remember they hold amazing energy, so where you place them in your home (and how you use them and care for them) all matters. The latter is also included in this beautifully presented guide. Find it over on Amazon.
The Geometry of Energy: How to Meditate
This fascinating read by Ethan Indigo Smith is a wonderful way to learn how to meditate using analogies that are quite unique. While sacred geometry isn’t unique to spiritual seekers, his approach and how to explain it is, largely from a philosophical view but weaving in mathematics, nature and balance.
The Geometry of Energy explores meditation and meditative energies through the four dimensions of geometry. Ethan says he was inspired to write it, and to combine mathematics and meditation on a cross country book tour. At the time, he was in Sedona, Arizona and the idea struck him in the middle of a conversation about meditation. He describes The Geometry of Energy as a great choice for “logical thinkers” to begin a meditation practice and an empowering construct for meditation practitioners of all perspectives and experience. Ethan writes, “Buddha believed that people existed in either two states: in existence or nonexistence.”
In addition to Buddhist principles, he weaves in other greats, such as Lao Tzu and renowned authors and their quotes, including one of my favorites: Aldous Huxley, who is known among many things to have said, “There are things known and there are things unknown and in between, there are doors of perception.” I understand this well having been a publicist for so many years. What so many don’t realize is that it’s all perception.
MicroChakras: Inner Tuning for Psychological Well-Being
Written by Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar and David Isaacs, Ph.D., you’ll find this a riveting read if you’ve been on a path for awhile, a bit confusing if not. That said, read on because I’m so intrigued that I have saved it as one of those “by the bed books,” suggesting its profoundness is beyond what I can attempt in a casual read, but I don’t want to forget to go deep with it. It’s said to be the first guide to working with microchakras, the channels within each of the 7 major chakras.
Bhatnager identifies 147 microchakras that affect our spiritual evolution and daily well-being, which takes a deeper nose dive into the field of Microchakra Psychology and its practical component of InnerTuning. Ahhh yes, InnerTuning — must have something to do with sound and music right? You already know how we feel about music as the power to heal here, from drums to bowls — we’re all IN. He talks about the use of precise sacred sounds that release energy blockages within the chakras and InnerTuning sacred sounds are a way to get there — specific instructions are included in the back of the book next to the CD about how to use them, warning not to use them for entertainment purposes as there is a timing and way to listen to them to receive the most benefits.
According to Bhatnager’s work, each of the traditional 7 chakras contains 21 microchakras, which enable the chakras to process information related to our thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Through InnerTuning--a system of precise, potent sounds and mantras--he asserts that certain blockages in the microchakras can be released so the subtle body can become realigned and physical and mental health can be restored.

The Order of Melchizedek
The teachings of Melchizedek focuses on topics such as reincarnation, spiritual development, and free will. The book contends that the unconditional love of God is bombarding the Earth in an influx of neutrinos.
It also provides a history of Melchizedek, who is a major influence in both the New and Old Testaments, but is said to be understudied in most churches. The goal of the book according to the author, is to promote a harmonious view of religion–where there is one God, understood and worshiped in a variety of different ways, each serving a purpose to those worshipping and to the overall understanding of spirituality.
Included in the book is background on Melchizedek, the balance of Good and Evil, Free Will and Accountability and Basic Theology. Author Rev. Daniel Chesbro also explores Manifestation, Ages, Epochs and Dimensions, Leaving Home, Separation and the Way Back, Karma, Love, Materalism, Your Life Review and much much more.
He says in his Creating and Manifesting chapter, “Everybody is a God or Goddess in training with the same power as the ultimate God in terms of manifestation.” It is what It is. I AM THAT I AM.
In other words, “choose to love yourself as God does and watch how it will all come to you in ways that will confirm for you that God Is, that you are, and that you both are one.” Find it over on Amazon.

Shiatsu
This beautifully presented book by Paul Lundberg covers the magical practice of Shiatsu. Certain people in our spiritual circles are aware of Shiatsu, even if they’ve never experienced it. That said, it is still not that well understood.
Shiatsu is a healing practice that originated in Japan. With Shiatsu (a Japanese word meaning “finger pressure”), you can release and stimulate the energy flowing through your body — using just your hands and fingers — to awaken your body’s natural healing modalities.
Think about ourselves as energy and energetic grid systems and from that place, think about how you can manipulate energy to improve your overall well-being. It’s an ancient healing method and can be used to treat a variety of health problems, including Arthritis, Backaches, Emotional Stress and Anxiety, Headaches and Migraines, Intestinal Disorders, Menstrual and Reproductive issues, Muscular Pain and more.
This useful book includes more than 240 color drawings and photographs in a brand-new, accessible format, demonstrating how to give both whole-body and specialized massages, diagnose specific conditions, and work with the body’s energy meridians to promote sustained health and well-being.
He also talks about the Five Elements: Wood, fire, earth, metal and water, which are common in Asian cultures.
Quoted from the Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine (c. 100 BC) which I now want to read btw, “When the Emperor Huang Ti questioned his physician Ch’i Po, he answered, ‘the East creates the wind, wine creates the wood, and wood creates a sour flavour. The sour flavour strengthens the Liver, the Liver nourishes the tendons, the tendons strengthen the Heart and the Liver governs the Eyes. The eyes see the darkness and mystery of Heaven and they discover the Tao, the Right Way among Mankind.'”
Author Paul Lundberg has been teaching Shiatsu for more than 25 years and is the founder and director of the Shiatsu College in the UK. Find it on Amazon.
Stone Medicine
This very comprehensive book by Leslie J. Franks is a comprehensive guide to Healing with Gems and Minerals. Unlike so many others who do a fairly great job at educating consumers about the healing properties of gemstones, Franks takes it a step further. This book is for the serious healer and the passionate follower of gemstones and crystals, those who believe in their healing power and may have already used them in their healing practices and work.
This books so deep that it includes an extensive Materia Medica detailing the healing and spiritual properties of 200 crystals and stones based on Classical Chinese Medicine.
While many crystal and gemstone healing books talk about general healing properties, rarely do you ever find a book that dives so deep into their healing properties to cover their Yin and Yang qualities, their crystalline structure, their chemical composition, and topical and internal applications. Wow, right?
Their chemical composition and topical and internal applications are a rarity and a blessing to read, especially if you’ve ever worked with stones before. You will also learn how to make stone and crystal elixirs, wear stones as healing jewelry, use them in massage and energy work, as well as how to cleanse and recharge them. Yes, stones need caring for and part of that ‘care’ is recharging, clearing and cleaning them.
The book is based on the oral teachings of Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen, a Taoist priest from the ancient lineage of the Jade Purity School (88th generation) Masters, which dates to the Han dynasty, 206 BCE. Most people think of Chinese Medicine related to herbalism and acupuncture, but many don’t realize that they had a rich tradition of using stones as medicine, passed from generation to generation for thousands of years.
Franks explains the therapeutic properties of 200 gems, stones, minerals, and crystals, starting with an extensive look at 15 different forms of quartz, followed by chapters on transformative stones, protective stones, nourishing stones, source energy stones, and alchemical stones. She explains the physical, emotional, and spiritual conditions each stone can treat and how their color, form, hardness, and energetic qualities affect us according to Chinese Medicine.
Also in the book is an explanation of the chemistry and sacred geometry of crystal structures, revealing how the minerals contained in the stones affect our physiology by supporting our Jing (Essence); by nourishing Qi (Energy), blood, and fluids; and by clearing Wind, Cold, Damp, and Heat conditions that can lead to disharmony in the body or if left untreated, disease. Trigger Point Therapy for Myofascial Pain
Think of a textbook that will help you with alleviating myofascial pain but at a consumer price point and so approachable that you can truly learn about the power of informed touch and pain relief.
Think of this book as a comprehensive clinical reference manual for the evaluation and treatment of muscle pain — yeah, really….it’s that thorough. What we love about the book that although it’s a bit clinical for the mainstream reader, it provides detailed illustrations of pain patterns and trigger-point locations.
So, even if you’re not an acupunturist or massage therapist, medical or healthcare provider, you can learn some very useful tools as well as an inner knowing about the anatomy of how we tick, how we work and how we can heal with more knowledge of all of the above.
Sadly, I hear about the rise of myofascial pain in day-to-day conversations. It seems like myofascial syndromes are among the fastest growing problems that physicians, osteopaths, acupuncturists, and physical, occupational, and massage therapists encounter in their patients. In Trigger Point Therapy for Myofascial Pain Donna and Steven Finando have organized vast amounts of information on treating myofascial pain into an accessible “user’s manual” for healthcare practitioners.
While primarily targeted to practitioners, this amazing reference guide to treatment of myofascial pain can be interesting and useful for anyone who deals with pain — they include aspects of our energy, Qi and its relationship to myology, specific trigger point location and activation, and palpatory skill-building techniques. Trigger Point Therapy for Myofascial Pain provides valuable information for sufferers and any professional involved with myofascial disorders.Grab it over on Amazon.
Well Nourished
This beautifully creative guide to mindful practices to heal your relationship with food, feed your whole self and end overeating by Andrea Lieberstein takes a look at mindful eating as a way of life — it’s a way to live, a way to be, and a way to think.
The author asserts that while we feed our physical body with food, we don’t always think about what our emotional body needs — in other words, hungry for more meaningful connections.
The book includes useful tools along the way, meditations, practices and step-by-step guidance, as well as wonderful visuals throughout. It’s about healing one’s relationship with food so you can cultivate a life that is fulfilling across all levels.
The exercises include things like Awareness exercises, so you can pause, reflect and assess where you are, as well as write an intention down based on your wish to nourish not just your physical body but for example, your psychological body as well. The guide also focuses on an inner sense of balance and nourishment even when the tides have turned and you’re going through a rough patch in your life. Well Nourished gives you the tools and practices to accomplish all of this when you might otherwise turn to food during these difficult times.
It’s also about how to cultivate self-love, self-compassion and a non-judgment mind, so we can release the negative emotions attached to ourselves and about ourselves — all of this is critical for emotional nourishment. You can find this wonderful read on Amazon.
