There are so many books on spirituality and consciousness that your mind can get dizzy. Trust me, over the past 25 years, I feel as if I’ve read books on almost every category in the spectrum, from Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, Oneness, the Saints, Christ Consciousness, Mary Magdalene, the Bhagavad Gita, Universal Consciousness, Sacred Geometry, Energy Healing, Shamanism, Quantum Physics & Consciousness to Raising Frequencies, Atlantis, the Fairy and Animal Kingdoms, Forgotten Civilizations, Alchemy, Non-Duality, Crystals, Channeling, Meditation, Ascension, 5D, Galactic wisdom, the Archangels, Auric Fields & Chakras, Traditional Mediumship, Ancient Mystery Schools. Chakras, Kundalini Awakening and beyond. The truth is that I probably haven’t even scratched the surface of what there is yet to explore. We can’t possibly know or understand 90% of it with our linear human minds.
That said, we are sponges for all of what gets published whether it comes out through a major publishing house or is self-published. The more that comes out, the more we are forever curious and never profess to be experts on any of the above. After all, each person with a story has a unique vision of some kind, whether it comes in through art, music or movies in their mind or whether it’s a very real and physical channeling which can be recorded. There are clearly variances and if you’ve been on a path for awhile now, you understand this. You know the depths and layers which exist and just how many dimensions there are, not to mention paths (and parallel worlds and universes) of existence, so many of them happening simultaneously.
With that preface in mind, here are a collection of books which have crossed our doorstep lately which we’d like to share.
Stones of the Seven Rays
It’s no secret that I “know my stones” and find their presence incredibly powerful. We work with them in our healing, we use them at home on a daily basis and do rituals around them. I even sleep with them. There are gemstones that we are each attracted to — all of us have our own preferences and the “draw” that you have to one or two is worth listening to for it has meaning for your soul and likely past lives. The Stones of the Seven Rays specifically addresses the magical and spiritual uses of the seven sacred gemstones–diamond, sapphire, emerald, jasper, topaz, ruby, and amethyst. And btw, we use all of them in our work.
Stones of the Seven Rays each sacred gem’s effects on the seven facets of the soul and their corresponding virtues — think of it as the Science of the Seven Facets of the Soul.
The fascinating read reveals their spiritual and therapeutic uses, the meaning of their colors, their ties to the chakras (essential oils also have a connection here), and their historical use in amulets, talismans, and other magical tools .
The book also outlines the basics of Seven Ray Science and the properties of each of the Seven Rays, which is particularly relevant as we move into a new place in time and history and as the Earth moves into the Photon band which is allowing so many of us to wake up in ways we haven’t experienced before.
Taught solely in secret for millennia, the Science of the Seven Rays was introduced outside of the ancient mystery schools of Western and Hindu tradition by some of the great occultists of the late 19th and early 20th century: H. P. Blavatsky, Manly Hall, C. W. Leadbeater, and Alice Bailey.
Based on the soul’s seven-faceted nature, the Seven Ray system underlies metaphysical traditions around the world through its connections with the seven musical notes in the scale, the seven days in the week, the seven chakras, the seven colors of the rainbow, and the seven sacred planets.
Laying out the key principles behind this spiritual science, Coquet takes you through the seven sacred gemstones of the Seven Rays–diamond, sapphire, emerald, jasper, topaz, ruby, and amethyst–and shows that not all precious stones have true mystical powers: they must be charged, either naturally or through ritual, with a living deva or angelic presence before they can effect spiritual transformation and physical, mental, and soul healing.
Drawing on Hindu, Jewish, pre-Columbian, and Greco-Roman magical traditions with precious stones as well as their use by great initiates of history–including Hildegard von Bingen, Paracelsus, Cornelius Agrippa, Elias Ashmole, Nicholas Flamel, and the Count de Saint Germain–Coquet talks about each sacred gem’s effects on the seven facets of the soul as well as their spiritual and therapeutic uses, the meaning of their colors, their influences on the chakras, and their use in amulets, talismans, and other magical tools.
Illuminating techniques of invoking spirits into gemstones and reports of the power to enlarge diamonds at will, stones that produce anesthesia, and the use of gem medicines in India, Coquet reveals that while gems can influence our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, without daily work toward a gem’s corresponding virtue, even a consecrated stone will have no effect, for the most beautiful gems are within. Insightful right? Yup, and it’s a powerful read. Find it over on Amazon.
Shamanic Alchemy
You can’t go deep into the world of healing without understanding the ancient traditions of Shamanism, which we’ve written about before. In this fascinating read by James Enredy, you’ll dive deep into inner transformation and beyond. This book is a hands-on guide to advanced spiritual transformation through the combined sacred arts of alchemy and shamanism.
Enredy’s book recasts the 7 stages of the alchemical “Great Work” as a transformative shamanic journey and initiatic experience. He provides step-by-step instructions for 18 shamanic alchemy practices for inner transformation, including vibrational energy work, consciousness-altering techniques, the creation of mirrors of the mind, and sacred ceremonies tied to the four elements.
This wonderful read also explores the alchemical plant-medicine techniques of spagyrics, as well as recipes for basic tinctures and “plant-stones,” which ties into our personal love and passion for the use of nature-based items, particularly gemstones and crystals for healing.
Throughout the book, you’ll get hands-on guide to traditional shamanic techniques, all of which are aimed at offering a doorway into the sacred art of alchemy, the inner transformation of the soul.
Revealing the practical and intuitive connections between shamanism and alchemy, including not only Western alchemy but also alchemical practices from the East, Endredy recasts the 7 stages of the alchemical “Great Work” as a transformative shamanic journey and initiatic experience.
In his step-by-step process, you’ll get instructions for 18 shamanic alchemy practices, including vibrational energy work, consciousness-altering techniques, the creation of mirrors of the mind, shamanic viewing, and sacred ceremonies tied to the four elements.
Exploring the healing art of spagyrics, he shows how this alchemical plant-medicine practice is receptive to the energetic work of traditional shamanic techniques. He details formulations for distilling shamanic spagyric remedies, as well as recipes for basic tinctures and “plant-stones.” He also discusses the creation of sacred space, altars, and shamanic distillation lodges. We LOVE this! Altars are a powerful force on their own — don’t second guess their use even in modern times.
Comparing shamanic and alchemical cosmologies, we love how he explains how both shamanism and alchemy employ direct experience of the numinous and invisible worlds, also known as gnosis (see below, Tim Freke talks about this a lot in his book Soul Story), to impart wisdom, invoke peace of mind, and increase creativity and vitality. Endredy also shares how practitioners can transmute spiritual lead into gold and to penetrate the deep secrets of life and of nature.
Don’t underestimate the transformation you can have from ancient wisdom and this book will take you there. Grab this fabulous read on Amazon.
The Three Ages of Atlantis
Okay, so if you’ve been on a spiritual path for awhile, you know all about the hidden world of Atlantis and the magic that occurred during Atlantean times. Some still see it as a myth. Some don’t believe it existed. In this great book, you’ll see the scientific and anthropological evidence for multiple Atlantean empires and the global catastrophes that destroyed them.
How powerful is this? His work reveals that there was not one but three Atlantises–the first in Antarctica, the second in South America, and the third in the Mediterranean. This explains why so many people I know have conflicting stories and visions about where Atlantis really was and its timing in history.
Within the context of this read, you’ll get an in-depth look at the geological evidence of super floods which took place 15,000, 11,600, and 8,700 years ago. And, the research shows how these flood dates directly parallel the freezing of Antarctica, the migrations of Cro-Magnon men, and the destruction of Atlantis according to Plato.
Those on an Ascension path and who feel as if their souls are ancient, often feel a pull to the stories of Atlantis and don’t see it as mythical at all. In fact, many have visions of past lives which occurred there. It was known as a magical time where real magic happened in daily lives in this “advanced” civilization.
Says the book: 15,000 years ago the Earth’s axis tilted, shifting the geographic poles. Volcanoes erupted, the icecaps melted, and the seas rose dramatically. Antarctica was enveloped in ice, destroying the high civilization of prehistory: Atlantis. But before the survivors could re-establish what they had lost, catastrophe struck again–twice.
So many people don’t understand what really happened as there are so many stories — whether its hearsay, lucid dream visions or perceived realities seen through one’s third eye, they’re real for so many.
Uniting scientific findings with theories on the location of Atlantis, this author trio put forth paleoclimatology data which shows that Antarctica was temperate 15,000 years ago and home to the original Atlantis. They explore geological evidence of three worldwide super-floods 15,000, 11,600, and 8,700 years ago and show how these dates directly parallel the freezing of Antarctica, the arrival of Cro-Magnon man in Europe, and the destruction of Atlantis according to Plato.
Uncovering the influence of the Atlanteans in Proto-Indo-European languages and in massive ancient monuments aligned with the stars, they show how the civilization founders in all early myths–the Pelasgians, Danaans, Viracocha, Aryans, and others–were part of the Atlantean diaspora and how this migration split into two major movements, one to Latin America and the other to Europe and Asia.
Following the Atlanteans from Antarctica to Peru, Mexico, and the Mediterranean, they share that the Cro-Magnon men are the people of Atlantis and that we are just now returning to their advanced levels of science, technology, and spirituality. Many practitioners and mediums we work with agree with the latter. If you’ve ever had an interest in Atlantis, then this book is a must for you. It can be found on Amazon.
An End to Upside Down Thinking
Author Mark Gober starts with this: consciousness creates all material reality. And, that biological processes do not create consciousness. He asserts that this conceptual breakthrough turns traditional scientific thinking upside down. Then, ever so thoroughly, he gives you pages of respected research by pioneers who turn classic scientific thinking on its head.
In An End to Upside Down Thinking, Gober explores compelling evidence from a diverse set of disciplines which range from psychic phenomena & near-death experiences to quantum physics and beyond.
He brings in cutting-edge leaders to support his ideas, including two-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Ervin Laszlo, Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences Dr. Dean Radin, and New York Times bestselling author Larry Dossey, MD, all of whom support his thesis. What we love is how this book will rock the scientific community and excite anyone who is interested in understanding the true nature of reality.
“Today’s disarray around the globe can be linked, at its core, to a fundamental misunderstanding of our reality.”
His work aims to shift our collective outlook and reshape our view of human potential and how we treat one another. On Amazon, it is described as: Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time meets Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now. It’s a bit like that but goes beyond your expectations in a number of ways.
First, Gober’s background comes from the business, tech and finance world. In other words, he was a materialist at heart for most of his life until fairly recently. He, like so many from this world, believed that consciousness existed within the brain. But, after months of research, he realized how wrong (or upside down) this thinking really is at its core. Gober so beautifully weaves in useful examples from respected thinkers throughout the book to dispel the myth that the brain produces consciousness and the implications for every day life.
He writes: “if consciousness is indeed more fundamental than matter, as Planck, Jeans, Schiller and others suggest, then the ‘paranormal’ — ‘anomalies’ in science, such as psychic abilities and the mind’s survival of bodily death — become expected. They are only paranomal or anomalous if we assume that consciousness comes from the brain.”
In other words, they make no sense in that context.
“But, if consciousness is the foundation of reality, then it would be easy to imagine that consciousness could flow from one person to another (telepathically). And, since the body is just a product of consciousness, the body’s death would not imply that its consciousness also dies.”
We get juicy examples of what is really happening, however the bulk of it doesn’t get passed onto the masses or if it does, it’s often misguided or stifled. Ambiguous if you like, leaving anecdotal evidence out or burying others. Scientific evidence he points to includes remote viewing, telepathy, precognition (knowing the future before it happens), psychic abilities of animals (many of us have experienced this first hand), psychokinesis (mind impacting physical matter), near-death experiences (lucid memories with impaired or no brain function), communications with the deceased and lives beyond this one, such as the countless stories of young children who remember past lives under the age of around 5 or 6.
“Since the body is just a product of consciousness, the body’s death would not imply that its consciousness also dies.”
While your brain is incredibly full by the time you get to the last section of the book, you can’t put it down at this point, because there’s a part of you that feels stunned for not knowing all the facts (aka we don’t know what we don’t know and there’s so much we don’t know) and part of you that feels invigorated by the idea that we can now authentically ask: “what now? or even better, what’s possible now?”
It is inspiring that even the likes of Scientific American admits how much we don’t know, such as ‘why’ the universe exists and that we really don’t know what exists in the dark energy and dark matter, which is the majority of the Universe. Did you realize that everything ever observed with all of our instruments — all normal matter — adds up to less than 5% of the universe? Other things include that we still discount that life exists anywhere else (c’mon, it’s incredulous to believe that we’re the only life forms in the Universe not to mention other Universes) and that we really haven’t figured out the quantum world never mind black holes and quantum firewalls. We also don’t understand our own biology and how Earth truly works nor have we mastered artificial intelligence yet. And, there are countless mathematical and scientific problems we haven’t solved that scientists continue to argue over.
And yet, skeptics (mostly old-school scientists and philosophers) continue to discount that a world beyond our consciousness of ‘reality’ here on Earth is real. We love that like Freke’s work, Gober is attempting to bridge a very important (and respected gap) between the world of Science & Technology and Mysticism & Spirituality. Whereas Tim’s work draws on more philosophical perspectives and understanding, Gober brings in hard evidence and proof. If there’s so much evidence out there, why does it still get buried? Answers and insights to this question and much more get uncovered in this incredible read.
His hope is that this book will provide a spark to advance the conversation everywhere. Those who are finding hard evidence to counter out-dated scientific thinking are told as Dr. Julie Mossbridge says, “not to put her precognition research on her resume or publish it in mainstream literature as it would risk her scientific career.” Really? Isn’t Science meant to probe deeper into exploring what we don’t know through whatever means? Especially if we don’t have all the answers.
As Gober so rightfully says, “this needs to end.” He says, “it’s time to put real scientific effort into exploring anomalies of consciousness….to start funding research to build an evidence base and to augment or refute theories. It’s time for us to look in the telescope in earnest.” Hear hear! Find this must-read which came out last fall over on Amazon.
How the World is Made
Imagine getting the story of creation according to Sacred Geometry?. All of creation you may be wondering? Think about it: Galileo describe the universe as a large book written in the world of Mathematics, which can only be read by those with knowledge of triangles, circles, and other geometrical figures.
Say what? Well, the laws of geometry are not human inventions or are they? This book explains how ancient societies that grasped the timeless principles of sacred geometry were able to create flourishing societies. The book also illustrates the social and spiritual values in the natural progression of number and contains more than 300 full-color drawings showing the interplay of number and sacred geometry.
The laws o of geometry are found ready-made in nature and hold a truth that is the same in all times and all places and is older than the world itself.
In How the World Is Made, John Michell explains the spiritual meanings in the key numbers of 1 through 12. For example, the number 8 and its octagon are symbols of peace and stability, the holy 7 and its seven-sided figure are connected to the world-soul.
He identifies the various regular shapes and shows their constructions; their natural symbolism; their meetings, matings, and ways of breeding; and their functions within the universal order.
Some are musical and structural, others relate to life and humanity. In the process of making these discoveries, Michell helps us see the world in an entirely new and fresh way. Disparate shapes and their corresponding numbers are woven together, resolving themselves into an all-inclusive world image–that “pattern in the heavens,” as Socrates called it, “which anyone can find and establish within themselves.”
In each chapter, you get granular details. For example, in the Creation of Life chapter, we learn that five and ten are the numbers of life and growth whereas The Geometry of 3 corresponds to the Vesica Piscis and Material Creation. He also dives deep into the Second Pythagorean Triangle (5-12-13).
If you’re not a math guru or a lover of math, this may be a hard-to-decipher book, but even for the artists among us, you’ll find it absolutely fascinating. There may be intuitive ways you relate to the world and inevitably numbers are part of your reality. You may not in your conscious mind think about the number 8 as a number for peace and justice or that four and the square is related to reason, stability and order but you may “feel” it from time-to-time as you notice certain numbers come up for you again and again.
All of us have come across some numbers more often than others or even relate to a few numbers whereas others have no meaning for us. The Geometry of Two may have a logical understanding for you but the duality and the world of paradox as explained here will take on a new meaning. Our favorite? The deep dive into the Majestic Twelve — who knew? It is the number of Universal Order and Harmony — the Twelve Tribes and the Revelation of the Heavenly Order. Waking Up in 5D
When I first picked up this book, I had a hard time putting it down and flew through the first four chapters in one afternoon. This great read offers tools and teachings to guide you in the transition from the polarized mindset of the 3rd dimension to the joy and love of 5th dimensional vibrations.
We‘ve all been hearing about 5D and ascension into this 5D place, which is supposed to be a dimension of love and harmony. Pure happiness. Pure divine love. Pure joy.
The truth is that we‘ve all likely been “in” 5D at some point in our lives and may be experiencing bits and pieces of it more regularly now even if we‘re not aware of it.
Author Maureen J. St. Germain explains how to recognize the 5D experiences you’ve already had, identify the differences between 3D linear thinking and 5D multidimensional thinking, and turn 3D viewpoints around to expand your perception of what is possible.
So often, we get questions in our Blue Soul Circles on “what about 4D?” If we’re currently in the third dimension, why does no one really focus on the Fourth Dimension. Yes, it exists, but it’s more of a bridge if you like, not somewhere you want to go and “hang out.” It’s the place of emotions, so it can be a dark place if you spiral downward while you’re there.
In this riveting read, she includes exercises to protect your energies, especially while sleeping, and Sacred Geometry meditations to open yourself to higher frequencies. We weave in sacred geometry more and more lately as our guides suggest its importance in deeper and deeper ways. By this, I don’t mean that we all need to become experts on sacred geometry but we do need to be aware of how integral it is to where we are in this time on the Earth plane and how various “geometric” patterns relate to more expanded heart openings and ascension to higher dimensions.
This great guide also reveals how to develop a Higher Self connection, increase your sensitivity to dimensional signatures, and consciously choose 5D, where divine love is the governing force.
She (and so many others) assert that we are all transitioning from the narrowly-focused and polarized awareness of the Third Dimension and waking up to the higher vibrations and abilities of the Fifth Dimension. There is so much polarity in the world we currently live and within that polarity are comparisons (us and them), all creating a force of separateness, which is the opposite of oneness, the opposite of universal consciousness and universal love and the opposite of a world where all of our inter-connectedness leads to a society of love and support. For, if we are all one and connected, why wouldn’t love be the primary emotion we project in our daily lives?
Says Maureen: “for some, the shift to this 5D blissful state, is sudden and permanent, but for many of us, the change is gradual, coming in fleeting moments and waves.” What I love about this book vis a vis so many others I’ve read on 5D Ascension, is that rather than focus on messages from Galactic Guides and Light Beings (often with language which is hard for us to get our heads around), she gives you examples of simple things you can do to accelerate the process and go deeper into 5D living. I also love how she cites examples of how to know where you are: 3D, 4D or 5D and how to shift from one to the other.
She helps you “get” to a Higher Self connection, increase your sensitivity to what she refers to as “dimensional signatures,” and consciously choose 5D, where divine love is primary. She shows how 5D relates to 3D as well as to 4D, the transitional dimension between the two, and explains how to read the energy patterns that distinguish one dimension from the next as well as how to experience multiple dimensions simultaneously. She explores how to identify the differences between “good vs. evil” polarized 3D linear thinking and dynamic 5D multidimensional thinking and how to turn 3D viewpoints around to expand your perception of what is possible. Our guides talk about this all the time — where there really is no “thinking” in ‘good vs evil‘ in higher dimensions and planes, but rather “beings who are further from the light.”
What a 5D reality does do is move you to more of a net-neutral way of looking at situations and events around you, which ultimately reduces your stress and keeps you in a more blissful way of “being and living.” Grab this book over on Amazon.
A New Republic of the Heart
We first met Terry Patten at a Tim Freke workshop in Berkeley so were excited to get a copy of his book to read within a month of our first encounter. Recasting current problems as emergent opportunities, Patten offers creative responses, practices, and conscious conversations for tackling the profound inner and outer work we must do to build an integral future.
In practical and personal terms, he discusses how we can all become active agents of a transformation of human civilization and why that is necessary to our continued survival. Patten’s narrative focuses on two aspects of existence–our dynamic but fractured and threatened world, and our underlying wholeness and unity.
He asserts that only by honoring both of these realities simultaneously can we make sustainable changes in ourselves, our communities, our politics, and our planetary life-support system. What we love is that while this is a philosophical and a ‘rational‘ guide to inner work for holistic change at its core, that he brings in the heart as the true way forward.
As you’d expert, community is important and coming together “as a community“ in ways we have forgotten especially in the west, will be vital to not just thriving as a society moving forward, but surviving. He talks about new communities, enterprises, and forms of dialogue that integrate both inner personal growth work with outer awareness, activism, and service.
We love his section on Wholeness, Science and Spirituality. He speaks of wholeness as the central principle of humankind’s most ancient wisdom….and points to examples such as the ‘unspeakable Tao’ of ancient China to the invisible Brahman-Atman of the Vedas to the ‘being’ ascribe by Pre-Socratic Greek philosophers to the God (Yahweh, or YHWH) of the Abrahamic religions. And, that much of the world’s wisdom is invoked in Buddhism as well as the ‘cloud of unknowing’ of Christian mysticism. This higher wholeness he speaks of (or God), was the “source of the most profound inspiration but that it tended to be conflated socially with mythic religious dogma.” Hear hear!!
Says Patten when explaining philosophers view on this (the likes of Fichte, Schelling and Hegel): “While transcending all its parts, God (our original wholeness and divinity) has manifested itself through the physical world. Evolution — the often meandering but steady and inexorable emergence of new and ‘higher’ forms of existence, from matter to life to human beings — is how the spirit of that wholeness and divinity has unfolded in time and space. And, that spirit is still unfolding. The implicit potential of that wholeness and divinity are gradually made explicit through evolution.”
He asserts that this wholeness if you like, is not an object in our field of vision and so escapes our notice. Patten goes on to say that wholeness is always being fragmented by this activity of self-contraction — so consistently that separation does not seem to be an activity at all; but just the ‘way things are.’
“Wholeness is constantly being fragmented. And yet, that’s only half the story — wholeness is also always reasserting itself.”
This chapter is one of our favorites because he outlines the challenges to living a life of wholeness which then bridges into what we can do to live a healthier (and more conscious) life. A wholesome life if you will. For those who remain cynical or feel that we’ve moved beyond hope, Patten reminds us that it’s never too late. That our lives DO have a higher purpose (all of us). We can move forward in a sense of ‘calm serenity’ — of wholeness and trust.
As Patten says so beautifully: “although the ‘revolution’ is fought on many fronts, the center of battle is a nonviolent revolution in every HEART. Patience and surrender and love are our most powerful weapons. They express the intelligence of the heart, which integrates our best rational and instinctive intelligence. They also tend to attract a higher order of coherence and wholeness, allowing order and life to emerge from chaos and destruction.” He asserts that radically choosing and ‘weaponizing’ (LOVE this word in this context) wholeness and love may be the most subversive thing you can do and the most important opportunity of our time.
“Patience and surrender and love are our most powerful weapons.”
This amazing book even gets kudos from Ken Wilber who says of Patten’s work: “superb, exciting, sane and enlightening — a social activism that is also personal, emotional, spiritual, ecological, rational and that points toward the very leading edge of evolution itself.” It’s a must read and you can grab it over on Amazon.
Forgotten Worlds
In Forgotten Worlds by Patrick Chouinard, you’ll get a deep nose dive into the mythological, historical, and archaeological evidence for lost civilizations throughout the world.
If you love to travel, maps, history and ancient cultures, you’ll love this incredible book which explores unexplained mysteries since the beginning of time, at least time as we know it.
Chouinard examines evidence of lost, ancient civilizations in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, including extensive investigation into Atlantis. (see book above that explores the possibility that there were 3 not 1)
This vivid and riveting book shows that Siberia and the Amazon may have been cradles of humanity even before Africa, counter to so many other beliefs.
Over the years, mainstream views of early history–which state that the first civilizations arose around 3,500 BCE–are plagued by evidence of much older civilizations, evidence ranging from artifacts and inexplicable remains to pyramids and ubiquitous myths that clearly speak of great empires prior to the rise of the Sumerian city states and pharaonic Egypt.
Viewing Atlantis and its many related myths as a metaphor for a long-lost global civilization, Chouinard goes deep into the mysteries which intrigue us all, such as Caucasian mummies found in China, the pyramids of Caral in Peru, the “hobbit” remains on Flores Island, the giant heads of Easter Island, the lost legacy of Lemuria, the ideology and occult mysticism behind Nazi theory, and the genetically unique X-woman of Siberia.
He also examines evidence of ancient alien visits and other supernatural phenomena from the past which are still unclear for so many.
Suggesting that we need to keep researching and exploring ancient, remote, and formerly forbidden regions for lost cultures and genetic root races, he is showing in this book a chronology for the emergence of human life and civilization as well as a new mechanism for how and why societies and species change over time.
If you love history and hunger for more than n what traditional science, mysticism and history have provided, this is a must read for your collection. It aims to decode the ancient mysteries of Human Origins themselves and includes an interesting foreward by Richard M. Schoch, Ph.D. You can grab it over on Amazon.
A Guide to Mystical France
In this wonderful guide to mystical France by Nick Inman, you’ll get a marriage of mysticism with a country which conjures up all things romantic, from wine and perfume to fashion and villas along the coast.
Think about it: France is one of the most visited countries in the world and most popular, largely because of the travelers dream to see Paris, kiss under the Eiffel Tower and have crepes in Montmartre. There’s so much magic and history baked within the country of France and it’s set in the heart of Europe making it an easy trip from London, Amsterdam, Berlin and other popular city destinations on the continent.
In this lovely guide, you go far beyond what’s covered in conventional guidebooks–history, architecture, etc.–and dive deeper into the deeper truths which exist about this magical country.
A Guide to Mystical France takes you under the so called psychic skin of France and into the invisible dimensions that our materialistic world does its best to ignore. Spiritual healers and practitioners know how much science tends to stop at the most interesting questions that Mysticism and the Unseen world handles so well.
About the book and their vantage point: it is impossible to fully appreciate the cathedral of Notre-Dame, Mont St Michel, or the alignments of Carnac if you do not understand the reasons these structures were built and they way they have been used over the centuries.
Inman brings readers to the invisible and the hidden worlds so you can judge for yourself. Says Inman: “you get much more out of a visit if you look for what isn’t there as well as what is. Only by engaging with such enigmas in an open-minded, non-logical way can we begin to unravel them.” He asserts that this approach also makes sightseeing more satisfying and more meaningful.
He explores many themes such as the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, Black Virgins, prehistoric cave paintings, labyrinths, ley-lines, symbolism and sacred geometry, as well as the tarot, etc.
You’ll also go deep into such legendary places as Chartres, Rennes-le-Chateau, churches carved out of the rock and mountain sanctuaries. There’s also Templars, Cathars, mystics, Gurdjieff, King Arthur, Nostradamus and alchemists such as the enigmatic Fulcanelli (who is rumoured to be immortal). If you love France and you’re curious about a world beyond what Science can always explain, you won’t be able to put this amazing guide down. The Lost History of the Little People
Now, who are these little people you may be wondering? This book reveals an ancient race of Little People, the catalyst for the emergence of the first known civilizations and it traces the common roots of key words and holy symbols, including the scarlet biretta of Catholic cardinals, back to what they refer to as the “Little People.”
You learn how many of the mounds of North America and Ireland were not actually burial sites but the homes of the Little People. Still wondering?
The Little People includes the Tuatha De Danaan, the Hindu Sri Vede, the dwarf gods of Mexico and Peru, the Menehune of Hawaii, the Nunnehi of the Cherokee as well as African Pygmies and the Semang of Malaysia.
Let’s face it: all cultures haves stories of the First People, the “Old Ones,” our prehistoric forebears who survived the Great Flood and initiated the first sacred traditions. From the squat “gods” of Mexico and Peru to the fairy kingdom of Europe, to the blond pygmies of Madagascar, on every continent of the world they are remembered as masters of stone carving, agriculture, navigation, writing, and shamanic healing–and as a “hobbit” people, no taller than 31/2 feet in height yet perfectly proportioned.
This amazing read talks about the high civilizations of the Pleistocene to the Golden Age of the Great Little People. author Susan Martinez reveals how this lost race was forced from their original home on the continent of Pan (known in myth as Mu or Lemuria) during the Great Flood of global legend.
Those with ancient souls have an inner knowing that Lemuria did in fact exist, that it wasn’t just a myth or a story that was made up long long ago.
Following the mother language of Pan, Martinez uncovers the original unity of humankind in the common roots of key words and holy symbols, including the scarlet biretta of Catholic cardinals, and shows how the Small Sacred Workers influenced the primitive tribes that they encountered in the post-flood diaspora, leading to the rise of civilization.
Drawing on the intriguing worldwide evidence of pygmy tunnels, dwarf villages, elf arrows, and tiny coffins, Martinez reveals the Little People as the real missing link of prehistory, later sanctified and remembered as gods rather than the mortals they were. This great read can be found on Amazon.
The DNA Field and the Law of Resonance
If you’ve read about Ascension or are actively involved in it as a lightworker or healer, then you know a lot about DNA codes and activating them…..or an idea of what this means. You’ve heard of DNA upgrades and how sacred geometry comes into play.
As we explore Ascension at a deeper level, you’ll hear a lot more about our DNA and how better understanding it, leads to a better understanding of what we’re capable of. This practical guide helps you unlock the powers of our DNA to manifest health, wealth, and happiness.
Our guides tell us all the time to be careful what we think and our emotions in this evolving world as we shift from a 3D existence to a 5D one. Our DNA communicates with those around us and attracts resonant energy–whether positive or negative–to us. (aka the Law of Attraction) but it goes much deeper than that.
This incredible read by Pierre Franckh reveals groundbreaking scientific research on the influence of DNA on photons as well as the interactions between DNA and emotions. It also provides practical exercises to remove negative influences, build positive visualizations of your desires, and accelerate the manifestation of your wishes.
For the skeptics among you, keep reading. Franckh takes the law of attraction to an entirely new level, showing just how much our human DNA has a direct effect on the physical world around us–an effect we can consciously focus to manifest our desires.
As Esther and Jerry Hicks work conveying the wisdom of Abraham shared for years, the only thing that keeps us from manifesting our desires and wishes is our belief system whether we “can” or not. Emotions and alignment with what we want to create (and have) is stronger than we think.
This book shares groundbreaking experiments on the influence of DNA on photons and on the interactions between emotions and DNA — and the impact that it can have in our day-to-day existence. All of these emotions actually create a field of resonance around us. Sometimes when I’m in an ‘off-mood’, our guides will show up in an “off-mood” as well, simply stating that they’re mirroring my emotions, which often confuses me (and more often than not, annoys me). We can add humor to the memory the next day, but it’s often hard in the moment.
When we have negative emotions, we simply want them to go away or we look to the outside world to blame for how we feel. Through a quantum field around us, our DNA is continuously communicating our unique vibration to those around us and receiving their unique oscillations in return. Think about what that means and if this is true, how changing our emotion and our intentions can transform our lives — literally.
The author asserts that by focusing our intentions and removing negativity from our beliefs about ourselves, our past, and our future, we can use our DNA to communicate our thoughts and desires to the universe.
“Through focused thoughts and intentions we draw the same resonant energy to us, thus bringing our intentions and desires into manifestation.”
He also provides practical exercises to remove inner and outer negative influences that could be blocking your desires, build a positive visualization of your goals, and increase the power of your field of resonance for quicker manifestation. You can purchase this find on Amazon.
Soul Story
It’s not a secret that we love Tim Freke’s work. Why? Because it’s approachable and his latest books in particular are a great bridge between the world of spirituality and science. Deemed a philosopher, he loves diving deep and yet within that “deep world” of where universal consciousness and soul streams exist, Tim takes people on a wonderful journey using his philosophical training and thinking.
He says, “the grand religious stories that gave meaning to life and death in the past have crumbled under sceptical scrutiny. The dominant mainstream philosophy is now scientific objectivism, which describes a universe that exists for no reason and a life that ends in oblivion.”
As a pioneering philosopher, Freke addresses what he refers to (and rightfully so) as the “soul crisis” in modern culture that has arisen from lack of meaning. He offers an intelligent “spiritual” perspective on life and death to help us make sense of a paradoxical world, which is sometimes bleak and banal, but also can be magical and full of significance. He presents a revolutionary paradigm shift in our understanding of reality that integrates the deepest insights of science and spirituality to create a new model of human identity, which makes the idea of the immortal soul intellectually credible.
We love how Tim explores the process of evolution, not as blind chance, but as the momentous story of the self-realizing universe. The development of the material world has led to the emergence of “psyche” or “soul,” which you are experiencing right now as a stream of thoughts and images that don’t exist in space and aren’t made of matter.
He asserts that we are not insignificant specks in a vast purposeless cosmos but that we are significant participants in the magnificent and meaningful story of soul. In other words, “the universe is coming to know itself through each one of us and this process doesn’t end at death, because the evolution of soul has also been the evolution of immortality.”
“We are the universe. We don’t need to ascend anywhere. We’re rooted in the universe, and we just need to grow up from there and into soul and spirit.”
He says that Soul is something you’re experiencing right now – we’re always experiencing it. Spirit is just a word for our ground of being. It’s not a revolutionary thing and it’s not another dimension. See what’s going on right now in front of you and be present with it — it’s truly extraordinary. The rest of it seems like a distraction.
Says Tim, “I think we can keep all the wisdom about spirituality and the soul – all we need to do is realize or just change the way we see it.” He suggests that everything has evolved from the past. Physical universe, biological universe and out of that has created soul. When the body dies, we continue to exist. Ancient tribal societies talk about the afterlife as “like a dream” – it’s not like a dream to dismiss it but it IS like emergent reality and an evolutionary process. He asserts that the personal self is our tender humanity, which feels pleasure and pain, hope and heartache, love and loss. This personal self which is also us feels separate from the world.
Unlike so many spiritualists and teachers who teach that ego is to be controlled and squashed, Tim suggests that ego is not the villain at all but in fact, the hero. This is where the individuality and oneness paradox comes into play. It’s a great read and will really resonate with left brain thinkers, philosophers and engineers – find it on Amazon. Also be sure to read our interview with him last year.
Sacred Geometry of the Earth
Imagine a book which identifies the patterns of our planet’s design within the natural landscape? It would be a great read right?
This amazing book entitled Sacred Geometry of the Earth by Mark Vidler and Catherine Young, is an ancient matrix of monuments and mountains. It aims to explain the geometry inherent in the mountains and coasts on all continents. Yes, really.
In this riveting read, you’ll learn how ancient monuments were built to reflect and enhance the Earth’s design, often connecting sites around the world. It includes detailed maps that show the simple geometrical relationships among the world’s mountains, coastlines, islands, and ancient monuments. Historians and map lovers will find this book incredibly compelling. Here’s why!
Across the globe, Vidler and Young reveal that order is everywhere on Earth. On remote islands, soaring summits, and level deltas, they unveil natural topographic patterns related to pi, the golden ratio, and right-triangle geometry. And as the planet’s design emerges, it becomes clear that this hidden order in nature decided the location of ancient monuments the world over.
“Order is everywhere on Earth.”
They use detailed maps to show how the locations of megalithic monuments reflect and enhance a natural pattern on the Earth that connects its major features. One example is how the rows of standing stones at Carnac in France point to the summits of Mount Everest and K2, and Angkor Wat in Cambodia is on a straight line joining Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and the tip of Cape Comorin in India.
They so beautifully examine the geography of many islands and each continent, including Antarctica, to show how the highest peak on each landmass falls on a line connecting coastal extremes.
You’ll learn how circles of standing stones and man-made mounds mark intersections of these lines. You’ll also see the connection between the Nazca lines in Peru and the Amazon, Nile, and Ganges deltas and learn how the locations of the Giza pyramids (we LOVE the pyramids), Stonehenge, and Machu Picchu are integrated into the natural design on Earth.
As they uncover geometric patterns on the Earth, they reveal how the world’s ancient monuments represent a form of transglobal communication that far predates the written word. How incredibly interesting, right? You won’t want to put this down. This fascinating book can be found on Amazon.
Precessional Time and the Evolution of Consciousness
This book is all about how stories enable us to identify the inner spiritual aspects within our material world and participate in the evolution of human consciousness foretold by ancient myths.
In this fascinating book on the evolution of consciousness, you’ll learn what was both necessary and available during a precessional shift between the ages. For example, the book identifies where and how cosmic energies of consciousness and creativity can be found using principles developed by G. I. Gurdjieff and John G. Bennett.
Author Richard Heath explores how ancient myths, megaliths, language, and cave art enabled narratives shaped by sacred proportion.
If you think about — all of culture can be said to be made up of stories. In fact it is stories, more than language, tools, or intellect, that make us human. Or at least, make us ‘feel’ human and make sense of everything around us.
Says Heath: “our Neolithic and Megalithic ancestors recognized this and stored, within their mythic narratives, an understanding of how sky changes evoke changes in consciousness as human cultures progress through each Zodiacal Age of the precessional cycle. As we enter the Age of Aquarius, it is time to recognize the profound power of stories to give our world meaning.”
“As we enter the Age of Aquarius, it is time to recognize the profound power of stories to give our world meaning.”
From uncovering how the precessional myth of the hero’s journey to stealing fire from heaven describes, you’ll understand what is necessary at the end of an Age as a dominant culture begins to falter as one example.
He says: “the massive information bubble created by our modern world, while drowning us in meaningless narratives, also contains the components for an evolutionary shift in consciousness.”
Using key principles advanced by Gurdjieff and Bennett, he helps to awaken you to the continuing evolution of our consciousness. You can find this book over on Amazon.
Gemstone Healing
This short but powerful read by Michael Gienger, Gemstone Healing helps you choose and use the right crystals, gemstones and healing techniques based on different situations. Let’s face it, we are all aware of gemstones and crystals to some degree, whether we’ve worn them as jewelry, applied them in cosmetics, drank water which has been infused with gemstones, had them scattered around our home as decorations, slept with them under our pillows or traveled with them for protection.
You may have used them while you meditate or during a massage or seem them in a store, at a spa or even in a restaurant. Gemstones promote strength and well-being and are used in a myriad of ways for healing — some are more aware of their power than others.
Crystal healing expert Michael Gienger explains how healing stones can exert their beneficial and healthy effects on the body, mind and soul.
For example: rock crystal acts as antipyretic, malachite promotes detoxification, aquamarine helps to combat allergies, amber improves sleep and amethyst promotes clear thinking. Gemstone Healing is the first guide to list the full range of applications for 36 crystals and will provide all the information you need to treat yourself, your family and friends.
Through this book, you will start to learn and understand the effects of the crystals and learn how to choose, use and look after them properly. The book includes powerful full-color illustrations and stunning photographs of each of the 36 crystals. You’ll also learn fascinating things like how to create gemstone water and a variety of types, such as Lympth water, water for Bowel Stabilisation, Growth, Muscle and so on.
You’ll learn how to use your gemstones and crystals for other purposes as well, such as while you meditate. He walks you through how to make stone circles. He asserts that stone circles can provide protection, which most ancient healers and practitioners know.
Says Gienger, “depending on the type of stone you use, the field they generate awakens particular properties in the stones and keep others at bay. In this way, the circles reinforce and center our auras, the energy fields that surround our bodies and keep us to collect and center ourselves.”
He also offers suggestions for stone circles, including Agate (for protection and security), Amazonite (great to ease stiffness and improve flexibility), Amethyst (for clearing and liberating us and can help with grief and sadness), Amber (promotes carefree positivity), Apatite (helps us with motivation and drive), Aquamarine — we LOVE this stone (helps concentration and mental effort), Calcite (boosts vigor and confidence), Emerald (awakens a sense of beauty and harmony), Garnet (bolsters courage, vigor and stamina), Moonstone (helps unease and poor sleep), Magnesite (brings calmness and relaxation) and Lapis Lazuli (helps with authenticity, dignity and speaking your truth).
Gienger has several pages of suggestions here — we love it as a simple to access guide for creating circles and grids. Gienger also the author of Crystal Power, Crystal Healing for crystal and gemstone lovers. You can find this great resource over on Amazon.
Transcendent Wisdom of the Maya
I have always been intrigued by Mayan civilization even though culturally I don’t have a connection, at least not in this lifetime.
This fascinating read tells you about the author’s journey and initiation process she (the author) went through to become a Maya shaman-priestess, including rituals, prayers, and ceremonies. There is so much more beyond Symbolism of Mayan culture — deep meanings which lead to awakening and spiritual evolvement.
What’s so wonderful about this nose dive into Mayan culture is that you’ll learn about the foundational spiritual wisdom of the Maya calendar as a living entity, its cycles of time, and the significance of “the counting of the days”, which helps keep time itself alive. And, it’s powerful.
The book examines the power of dance and Maya ceremonies, Maya future-telling, and communication with ancestors through the sacred fire. It also offers an insider’s experiential account of ancient Maya spiritual wisdom and practices. Author Gabriela Jurosz-Landa opens up the mysterious world of the Maya, dispelling the rampant misinformation about their beliefs and traditions, sharing the transcendent beauty of their ceremonies, and explaining the Maya understanding of time, foundational to their spiritual worldview and cosmology.
She comes at it from her own experiences as well as from an anthropological view point as an anthropologist herself. You learn about Maya spiritual and cosmological concepts such as how the universe is shaped like a triangle over a square. Et hem — didn’t we say how powerful sacred geometry is and why and how it’s so integral to who we are and our evolvement in this dimension and beyond? It is embedded in so much of who we are and where we are heading — don’t discount its power.
Given how much we love dance, we are always excited when we learn of a tradition that focuses on the growth which can happen through dance and movement, especially within an ancient tradition like we have seen on our travels, particularly in old Mayan cultures like Guatemala.
She explains how ritual dance halts the flow of time, reactivates primordial events, and captures vital energies that keep the Maya spiritual tradition vital and alive. You also learn about Maya ritual attire and its meaning, Maya future-telling with the calendar, the reading of the Tzi’te beans, and how the Maya communicate with ancestors through the sacred fire.
I often feel that we lost so much when we stopped telling stories around a camp fire, which existed in so many traditions, even in the west. Says the author: “to truly understand the Maya, one must think like the Maya.” This culturally-rich book can be found on Amazon.
The Mystery of Skara Brae
This book was such a lovely find because we knew so little about Skara Brae. This book is an investigation of the origins of the Neolithic farming village on Orkney Island, which reveals the striking similarities between Skara Brae and the traditions of pre-dynastic ancient Egypt as preserved by the Dogon people of Mali.
Those interested in culture, travel, anthropology, spirituality and traditions won’t be able to put this book down. This great read by Laird Scranton explains how megalithic stone sites near Skara Brae conform to Dogon cosmology. The book examines the similarities between Skara Brae and Gobekli Tepe and how Skara Brae may have been a secondary center of learning for the ancient world.
For those of you who don’t know much about Neolithic Scotland and this ancient land, let’s put it into perspective with location and a relevant timeline.
In 3,200 BC, Orkney Island off the coast of Northern Scotland was home to a small farming village called Skara Brae. Even well known travelers may not have heard of this place, for it is remote and the farming village is tiny, not really on a ‘known’ tourist path.
For reasons unknown, after nearly six centuries of continuous habitation, the village was abandoned around 2,600 BC and its stone structures covered over–perhaps deliberately, like the structures at Gobekli Tepe. Although now well-excavated, very little is known about the peaceful people who lived at Skara Brae or their origins. The mystery remained: who were they and where did they go?
Drawing on his in-depth knowledge of the connections between the cosmology and linguistics of Egyptian, Dogon, Chinese, and Vedic traditions, Scranton compares Skara Brae and the Dogon of Mali, who still practice the same cosmology and traditions they once shared with pre-dynastic Egypt.
He tells a story of how the earliest Skara Brae houses match the typical Dogon stone house as well as Schwaller de Lubicz’s intrepretation of the Egyptian Temple of Man at Luxor. For historians, you’ll be intrigued as you flip page after page, curious what details he will uncover next.
You’ll learn how megalithic stone sites near Skara Brae conform to Dogon cosmology, each representing sequential stages of creation as described by Dogon priests. The author explains how the houses at Skara Brae also represent a concept of creation. Citing a linguistic phenomenon known as “ultraconserved words,” he compares words of the Faroese language at Skara Brae, a language with no known origin, with important cosmological words from Dogon and ancient Egyptian traditions, finding obvious connections and similarities.
And so, if you’re a linguist and language fan, you’ll also be fascinated by his striking parallel finds. Scranton shows how the cultivated field alongside the village of Skara Brae corresponds to the “heavenly field” symbolism pervasive throughout many ancient cultures, such as the Field of Reeds of the ancient Egyptians and the Elysian Fields of ancient Greece.
He demonstrates how Greek and Egyptian geographic descriptions of these fields are a consistent match with Orkney Island. He asserts that Skara Brae could have been a secondary center of initiation and civilizing knowledge, a long-lost Egyptian mystery school set up millennia after Gobekli Tepe was ritually buried. Given the timing of the site, that it could have possibly been the source of the first pharaohs and priests of ancient Egypt as well. You can get it over on Amazon.
