In and around Riobamba’s bus station, you’ll find a lot of activity, including goats and pigs running around, cats, chickens, their eggs and dogs for sale, and musicians strumming banjos, guitars and drums while locals dance. There’s also plenty of food – traditional food and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can find just about everything in this market, including technology, CDs, books and clothing. Chickens talked to me, children played with me, dogs wagged their tails and vendors tried to sell me their offerings. It was a joyous time and hopefully you’ll smile as much watching this video as I did walking through the market.
