When I saw the sign, I felt flushed. The move suddenly felt real, as if there was no turning back. Part of me wanted to turn the car around and head north again, delaying the process of East Meets West. Delaying a major life transition that would take thousands of dollars to reverse at this point. But a larger part of me didn’t want it to unravel and was anxious to explore what the West Coast had to offer.
But the sign, that sign….the finality of seeing that sign.
