Mendocino’s Blackberry Inn, A Romantic & Old Western Town Take-Off

In Northern California’s historical town of Mendocino, CA, I recently discovered the very quaint Blackberry Inn, which is a take-off on an old western town as depicted in the Hollywood western movies.  The Blackberry Inn, nestled a half mile above Mendocino, offers guests the best of both worlds. The inn, which is surrounded by sylvan trees, sunny meadows and breathtaking ocean views, combines a bit of tranquility and luxury. There are 16 rooms, all of them different in their own unique way. As you drive up to the entrance of the Inn, it looks like an old town with various styles you can choose from, such as the Sheriff, Saloon, Belle’s or the Bank.

As you roll up the driveway, you’ll face quiet, serene hillside with beautiful gardens and in your room, you’ll find homemade cakes and cookies on the table. Below is Belle’s Suite, where I stayed for the night.

Below is the inside of Belle’s Room, which they also refer to as the Honeymoon Suite.  Belle’s has a working fireplace and they offer complimentary firewood.

The place was charming in every way and the staff is incredibly warm and hospitable. Most rooms have ocean views, all have color cable TV, showers and tubs. I loved this place and would recommend it if you’re up in the Mendocino area – we give it two thumbs up!
