I’m looking forward to meeting the folks at IndieGoGo next week. Through independent films, bands and fans, co-founders Danae Ringelmann, Slava Rubin and team have used its crowdfunding platform to raise money for SXSW projects.  Also on-site will be the filmmakers behind “My Sucky Teen Romance” – SXSW Debut from Austin native Emily Hagins, the youngest filmmaker ever to be featured at SXSW. She raised: $16,055 on IndieGoGo, surpassing their goal.

“8” is a short film experiment by Julie Gould about a daughter spending the anniversary of her father’s death with her mother and a glimpse of their life without him. They raised $3,395 on IndieGoGo, tripling their goal. “Sound It Out” is a documentary portrait of the very last surviving vinyl record shop in Teesside, N. England who raised $12,389 on IndieGoGo.
