Being surrounded by ‘mostly’ women at a conference dedicated to technology and fresh voices added a number of new dynamics you don’t normally find at a typical technology or business conference (where for the past 15 years, I’ve been surrounded by ‘mostly’ men).
It was refreshing to hear so many women’s points of views and hear about all the amazing things they’re writing about on their blogs; so many of which are having a huge impact in the world in the areas of culture, social norms, economics, politics, education, healthcare, music, fashion, business and yes, technology.
Aside from the fabulous content (which I’ll write about over the next few days), there was an incredible amount of energy and ……color, so much so that I managed to grab some visuals that represent “this color.” In other words, The Fashion of BlogHer:
I have loved every other blogging event I’ve attended over the years, but hell, none of them had this much energy, beauty, passion and talent combined in one room. In addition to network TV, an editor from Glamour Magazine even showed up for this one!!! For the men who didn’t have the courage to show up? Hey, what can I say? You missed out!!!
