July 6 • Duran Duran Tribute

Duran Duran Duran Paying homage to a band as prolific and beloved as Duran Duran is tricky business, but Duran Duran Duran has the looks, chops and and swagger to impress even the most die-hard fans.

According to The National Examiner, the band “goes well beyond what most would consider a tribute band,” to capture the core essence of their iconic forefathers, delivering spot-on performances that consistently burn up the dance floor.

Duran Duran Duran have enjoyed worldwide recognition, headlining an exclusive San Francisco performance for Gimme a Wristband, the leading international Duran fan site, on the eve of Duran Duran’s performance at the Fillmore.

Bella Donna Bella Donna is the Critically acclaimed, Hauntingly Familiar tribute to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. Based in Los Angeles and formed in 2002, the 7 piece show has toured throughout the USA performing hundreds of shows.

Bella Donna was awarded the highest honor when Stevie Nicks met Singer Michelle Tyler after a show and complimented the band.

July 20 • Neil Diamond Tribute

Super Diamond When your parents popped in a Neil Diamond tape on repeat during long interstate road trips, you reluctantly sang along. Never thought you’d turn out to be a Diamond fan now, right?

But singing along to “Sweet Caroline” and “Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show” is so addictive now, you’d do anything to see Neil on stage. A band out of San Francisco can put a rest to that Diamond thirst.

Frank Bey with The Anthony Paule Blues Band Frank Bey with The Anthony Paule Band will be stirring up old school, Soul, R&B, and Blues.

Born and raised in Millen, Georgia, Frank grew up the son of gospel singer Maggie Jordan.

Frank began singing with his brothers at the tender age for 4…his brothers were 5 & 6. He toured extensively with Otis Redding in the 60s.

When on The West Coast, Frank works exclusively with Internationally renowned, guitarist Anthony Paule and his band. In addition to Paule, members of his band include, Nancy Wright, sax; Paul Revelli, drums; Paul Olguin, bass; and Tony LuFrano keyboards.

August 3 • Salsa

August 31 • Michael Jackson Tribute

Foreverland is a 14-piece tribute to one of the most amazing entertainers in the world, Mr. Michael Jackson. Based in San Francisco, the group was formed in March of 2009 to honor Michael’s musical genius and legendary showmanship.

With four lead vocalists, four horns and a six-piece rhythm section, the ensemble is best described as a “Remarkable and Rocking Michael Jackson Revue.” Rather than be limited by a MJ impersonator and pre-recorded backing tracks, the band’s unique approach is to celebrate the larger than life performances, imagination and infectious spirit of this legendary artist.

Native Elements San Francisco powerhouse, Native Elements has been keeping the energetic, feel-good reggae tradition alive in the Bay Area for over 15 years.

Comprised of 10 seasoned musicians with decades of experience in rock, metal, blues, jazz, r&b and hip hop, this eclectic and fearless crew melds all of their unique influences into a contemporary melodic horn-driven party that takes their listeners through improvisational peaks and valleys from sweet and soulful trumpet solos to blazing guitar and soaring saxophone wails.

Having grown up together since elementary school (playing in garage bands and skateboarding) in Daly City and South City, CA the Native Elements bring a uniquely warm experience to the stage that is both entertaining and uplifting.

Ana Popovic Ana’s career has been meteoric, and shows no signs of slowing down! The most impressive aspect of Ana’s music is her diversity of techniques and styles. Her blend of smoking electric funk slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals, tight blues groove, soulful feminine vocals and her incredible stage presence makes her an irresistible force in the music world.

Born in the war torn town of Belgrade, formerly Yugoslavia, Ana grew up in a family where music was very important. Her father would invite friends over for nightly jam sessions. In this atmosphere, she quickly picked up her father’s impressive blues and soul record collection, grabbed his guitar and went to work at a young age of 15.

Since then, Ana Popovic has developed into an phenomenal guitarist/vocalist who now currently resides in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Today Ana and her phenomenal 4-piece band are tirelessly touring, playing major blues / jazz and rock festivals around the world!

Edgardo & Candela The debut presentation at The Redwood City Music on the Square, of this blessed tenor Salsa singer and skilled “conguero”, who has been called “A pillar point for the San Francisco/Bay Area Salsa Scene.”

Through rhythms likeMambo, Cha-Cha-Chá, Merengue, Bolero, Bachata, Cumbia,and the more contemporary style Timba,  Edgardo’s voice shows what a superb gift he has to offer. Formed in 1987, “Edgardo & Candela” has performed for sold out audiences at venues like, Yoshi’s, San Francisco Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival, and internationally at Festival Benny More (Cuba), Budweiser Festival in Guam, and at Salsa venues in Stockholm, and Gothemburg, Sweden.

“Candela’s” unique sound has consistently delivered to the Bay Area dancers what they do best: Salsa Para Bailar!
