I’m amazed at what excites me lately. Driving through Oakland, I discovered a petrol station with unleaded for $2.02. Compared to more standard $2.30-2.50 signs, it drew me in, like a drug.
Don’t ask me how much I saved here! Probably the equivalent of a parking meter, but then, in a place where everything seems to be higher than any other city in the country, you find yourself longing for a bit of precious normality. I had to fill up here.
