Stohrer’s Pastry Magic, The Oldest Patisserie in Paris

Comments Off on Stohrer’s Pastry Magic, The Oldest Patisserie in Paris

In the year of grace 1725, Louis XV married Maria Leszczynska, daughter of King Stanislaus of Poland. His Stohrer pastry follows in Versailles. Five years later, in 1730, he opened his bakery NICOLAS STÖHR at 51 rue Montorgueil in Paris’ second district. In his kitchen, where the desserts were invented in the Great Court, the delights marveled all. They tout themselves as being the oldest patisserie in Paris. How’s this for insanely decadent, rich and tempting? Next time you’re in Paris, stop by their shop. It is still located at 51 rue Montorgueil in Paris. 01.42.33.38.20.
