The Quadriennale Düsseldorf is a festival of fine arts which occurs every four years with the participation of Düsseldorf’s leading museums, exhibition venues, and the Art Academy, as well as numerous partner institutions. Each edition of the Quadriennale Düsseldorf has a central guiding theme in relation to which all of the participating institutions orient their programs, which include singular monographic and other exhibitions and a wide-ranging supporting program. The result is a distinctive menu of offerings which is presented at four year intervals for art lovers and producers from around the world.
The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalenis displaying an exhibition that includes pieces by Kandinsky, Malevich and Piet. The Kunsthalle art gallery will transpose George Orwell’s futuristic novel ‘1984’ to the year 2084.
