November 24: Harvest Diaries

Harvest Diaries is the second of Christine Stevens’ cookbooks to be launched at Kalk Bay Books. Stevens will be in conversation with Heather Parker as she discusses her new recipes in Harvest Diaries. Her first recipe book, Harvest, is about organic farm cooking, and the sequel looks set to offer an in-depth account of the author’s experience living on an organic farm.

December 1: Around Madagascar in my Kayak

Not many people can say they kayaked around the island of Madagascar, but author Riaan Manser is one of them. Join him as he shares his world-first adventure story with host Mike Wills. This is the second endurance journey Manser has written about and Kalk Bay Books are excited to hear all his new stories.

December 7: Not Goodbye

Akwe Amosa brings her poetry to Kalk Bay Books for an intimate reading. She is a human rights activist and Nigerian/British author. She will be introduced by local poet Ingrid de Kock before she shares her meditative reflections on a rich range of experiences in Africa and elsewhere.

December 9: The Extraordinary World of Diamonds

Author Nick Norman penned the Kalk Bay Books bestseller Geological Journeys and is now set to release his latest offering The Extraordinary World of Diamonds. Norman delves deep into the fascinating story behind the diamond – the emblem of luxury and endurance. This story stretches back to the geological time of Earth’s formation.

Kalk Bay Books events are first come, first served so make sure you book to avoid missing out on one of these evenings. A free glass of wine will be served and at some of the events a few snacks will be provided.
