A Weekend Of Green Film Goodness

Comments Off on A Weekend Of Green Film Goodness

Today marks the start of the very first, three day, UK Green Film Festival, taking place in London, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff and Leicester. The festival will be screening over 30 films that are linked with the environment and climate change themes including new films like Wasteland, a documentary about an artist making portraits of rubbish heap workers using the junk itself, films you’ll have seen before like Wall-e the Disney film about an adorable waste collecting robot and ‘greened’ films (classics that have, with the wonder of hindsight, been made more environmental) such as Godzilla.

Not only are they bringing you films but they are also providing plenty of fun events like book signings, farmers’ markets and cycling stalls, with many filmmakers on hand for Q&As. The whole weekend looks to be packed with fun, information and inspiration.

They are encouraging their festival goers to go green right from the word go, which includes walking (if possible) to the screenings.

We’re looking forward to being entertained and inspired by some fantastic films at the Green Film Festival this weekend. And we hope to see you there!
