I decided to take a week off from solid food and only drink freshly squeezed organic juice every day for a minumum of seven. We’ll see how it goes – I’m getting close.
Like any variation of a fast, you crave meals for the first few days and then suddenly your energy explodes. I think that largely depends on what kind of liquid diet you go for, whether you add fruit, stick to ‘all greens’ and how you divide them over the course of your day.
Imagine a Rainbow or Whole Foods trip, where you load 26 grapefruits into your basket, together with more greens than ever lived in your fridge at a given time.
There are so many ‘greens’ to choose from, such as dinosaur kale, rainbow and green chard, dandelion, collards, spinach, parsley, arugula, celery and cucumbers, and that’s just for starters.
The fun part is creating a different combination every day to achieve a different result. It made me think of how starting a new business is a bit that way. Every day, you strive for a better approach until the mix is ‘just right.’
