We were recently sent a few HoMedics products from their team to test out which we’re excited about since we love their selection of wellness products as well as their offerings for the home, so many of which make great holiday gift ideas. Our below four product picks that all have your well-being in mind, are perfect choices for the holiday season — for other great ideas, be sure to see our official holiday gift guide this year.
The HoMedics SoundSpa
We’re fan of sound machines and sound in general as a great healing tool, whether it’s to help you fall asleep at night or simply relax in the afternoon.
HoMedics offers several sound machines, from the more sophisticated options (in both design and technology) to simpler solutions in the $20-30 price range. This mid-range SoundSpa option is fun because it combines color with sound, pink of which is shown below, is one of six colors.
We think the HoMedics SoundSpa is a great gift choice because of its size, price point, and variety of options for colors and sounds. There’s six color changing options, so in addition to using sound, it uses warm colors to help you gently relax or fall sleep.
Additionally, the sound machine is equipped with six soothing, natural sounds, including zen, campfire, everglades, ocean, rain and brook depending on your preference. We also love that its compact and lightweight making it easy to take with you when you travel, another great feature that helped to narrow down our choices.
There’s also an Aux-in which allows you to listen to your own music if you so choose and another lovely feature is its 15, 30 or 60 minute auto-off timer if you don’t want to leave it on all night.
HoMedics Essential Oil Gift Set
We’re a huge fan of essential oils and you can see our round-ups of other wellness products, including standalones on essential oils, like doTerra and Gurunanda for example.
This essential oil gift set from HoMedics is perfect for the holidays since you don’t need to think about selecting just the “right ones.”
The gift set comes with eight 15 mL therapeutic-grade essential oils including Fresh Snow, Orange, Peppermint, Tea Tree, Cinnamon Crumble, Citrus Carol, Deck the Halls and Eucalyptus. If you’re familiar with essential oils, you’re probably wondering what on earth is in the Deck the Halls and Cinnamon Crumble combo other than cinnamon of course.
Deck the Halls (this fun label will be sure to put you into the holiday mood) is made up of 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils of pine, cedarwood and spruce making it soothing, woodsy and fresh. The Cinnamon Crumble concoction on the other hand, consists of orange, tangerine, cinnamon leaf, clove buds, cinnamon bark, ginger and black pepper. They’re all bottled in the U.S. Head on over to their site for gift options and on Amazon, they have a great sampler of 3 essential oils you can try out as well if you want a smaller set.
HoMedics Blood Pressure Monitor
This automatic wrist blood pressure monitor is clinically proven for accuracy, using its Smart Measure technology, which is one of the things I was most concerned about when I saw it on their website.
Their advanced Smart Measure Technology enables the monitor to automatically inflate and deflate at the right level for each person, a nice feature and an important one when doing this at home with different family members. It takes a personalized blood pressure and pulse reading each time you use it.
The device is also extremely portable, making it a great option for travelers who want to make sure their blood pressure stays on target when they’re on the road. This is particularly useful for those who have known to have higher blood pressure readings and want to make sure its under control when eating heavier meals than they might otherwise do when at home.
It stores 120 total memories and can store two users at a time. Every time you take a reading, it leaves the date and time stamp so you can track over time. There’s also a feature called the Memory Average Function, which automatically averages the last three readings.
The blood pressure monitor is also easy to use with its one start and stop button. Also included in its data is a Risk Category Index, so you can compare your readings with ‘defined levels’ established by the U.S. National Institute of Health. We haven’t used it long enough to know how long the batteries last, however the box does include one set of batteries to get you started. It’s available over on Amazon.
HoMedics LuxeComfortPro Massaging Vibration Shawl
At first I thought it was a blanket but this massaging vibration shawl from HoMedics could certainly be used as one — think of those holidays on the couch watching old movies with your loved ones.
It is made of a soft faux fur fabric and has a super comfy vibrating massage built in, which is designed to relax those painful muscles in your neck, shoulders and back. There’s also soothing heat throughout the wrap which makes it even more comforting – we LOVED the heat feature.
We also love the design — it’s so neutral that it will fit within most households’ living rooms, whether modern and contemporary or traditional and classic. Also cool is that there’s a customized control so you can adjust it depending on your preference. The shawl has adjustable options for both the vibration and the heat so you can combine the adjustable intensity for what works best for you.
We tried it around the shoulders as well as a lap throw – I’d argue that it would also be a great choice for those airplane rides — imagine the combination of massage and heat on a long flight? We all know how cold those overnight flights can be. You can also use it as a lap throw when working at your desk or on the couch at home.
This great gift idea from HoMedics is also available over on Amazon.
