Love Speck Products for Their Vivacious & Fun Colors!

Okay, so it should be no surprise now that I’m in the process of migrating over to a Mac Book Pro that I’d be reviewing and testing out fabulous products for the Mac. Truth be told, there weren’t a lot of fun and colorful products and accessories to play around with for my trusty Lenovo, trusty until recently that is. Twice, my Lenovos have died a slow death where the fan and memory just conked out far before its time was due.

At CES in January, I was able to preview a number of compelling products and while some were fixated on massive HD TV screens, Apple TV knock offs, electric cars and other cool innovations, I was largely focused on useful products for the traveler of course.

Think: accessories, protective gear (technology, luggage, clothing and other), things that enhance one’s productivity on and off the road and mobile schtuff.

I came across Speck before I went to CES and although it took me forever and a day to find their booth (CES’s horrible mapping system not the fault of Speck), I was like a kid in a candy store when I arrived. Why? Speck LOVES color.

Vibrant colors scattered across their booth, from left to right, with oranges, purples, pinks, reds and greens hanging from both walls – iPhone and iPad cases, sleeves for devices, coverings for phones and the lightweight plastic click-on covers for Mac Book Pros, which I had my eye on.

They also have a great PixelSleeve for both the iPad and MacBook Pro (below in pink) and true to Speck style and flexibility, there are fun colors to choose from. My friend Steve doesn’t understand why “color” is such a big deal – after all, it’s just a functional covering after all? Shouldn’t it be about your device’s performance?

And yes, it should and yes, it matters, but if color didn’t matter, then cars would still be in traditional Ford black, nail salons wouldn’t have 20 shades of each color, there wouldn’t be a market for the umpteen companies selling phone accessories and paint companies would deliver us primary greens and blues, rather than Victorian Gray, slate Blue, Edwardian taupe, sage and New England burgundy. You get the point.

Enter the world of Speck, where they exude color and choice.

There’s also the FitFolio for the iPad among countless other products to choose from. We love their products! Two thumbs up! Look for purple or eggplant or amethyst or walnut nestled around my new Mac Book Pro when you see me on the road.
