Hydrate with Zing Anything's Tea Zinger + Citrus Zinger Infusion Set

0

We discovered a great new line of bottles and infusion solutions that allows you to put some excitement into your tea and water. First up is a new product from Zing Anything called the Citrus Zinger Infusion Set. Drinking a lot of water is key to keeping your body hydrated and alkalized — caffeine and alcohol can throw your body for a loop and keep it out of balance if you don’t offset it with plenty of “clean” food and water. I’m a huge believer in the power of lemon water – its rejuvenating and frankly, it tastes a lot better than plain water alone. The idea of infusing water with natural flavors from fruit and vegetables isn’t new, but for those of us who have attempted it manually know, it’s a pain to do and can be time consuming and messy.

Their Citrus Zinger Infuser set comes with a Cucumber Slicer, Kiwi Reamer & Original Citrus Press Extract which allows you to bring the flavors of cucumber, kiwi and citrus into your drinking water. We love this!

How It Works!

The add-ons that come with the infuser set do all the work. These tools squeeze and slice fruits directly into water to extract more nutrients and flavor than other passive infusing methods. It gives you a few variations to reap the benefits of antioxidant-rich fruits into your water.

Obviously this is a great solution for travelers who are hard pressed to find healthy drinking options on the road. Pick up a cucumber in a market and simply press press and turn a cut of cucumber against the slicer to release it. YUM! It was the first one we tried and it’s oh so refreshing.

For a totally different twist, try the kiwi tool. The kiwi reamer releases the kiwi juices, pulp and seeds into the bottle while keeping the skin intact and pith in place. The more staple choice is lemon or course, which is great to detoxify and alkalize the body. You can also switch it out and try it with limes, tangerines and clementines, which we tested as well — tangerines from our garden that is (talk about fresh!!)

By harnessing the power of fresh fruits and preserving their taste, aroma, hue, vitamins and minerals, Zing Anything’s cool tools were a snap to use. Two thumbs up!

A cool accessory from their line is the Anything Grater, which is ideal for harder ingredients, like apple, ginger, tumeric root or orange zest. We always have plenty of ginger and tumeric on hand, so we started there. We combined the two to create a finger and tumeric infused iced tea – it makes ordering iced tea at a restaurant a thing of the past since it will never taste as good as your home brew again. Think ginger-infused iced tea, green apple water infusions, or layer the flavors of your favorite citrus drinks with lemon, lime, or orange zest.  We loved this — the flavor is released directly into the drink while the ingredients remain contained inside the infusion compartment, which brings us to one of my favorite things about it: no slicing and no mess!

Another creative product in their line is the The Tea Zinger, which given how much we love tea over here, we HAD to try! With their Tea Zinger, you can create your own perfect tea blends by combining your favorite teas with fresh flavors. The Tea Zinger is ideal for steeping teas, hot or iced, and includes a specially designed built-in grater for infusing ingredients like ginger, turmeric, orange peel, and more. Important to note is that the grater makes sure all of the zest is contained within the bottom compartment. Again, it reduces the mess.

Their signature citrus press is also included so you can add fresh citrus to your Tea Zinger. Add orange juice to your tea for a bold pop of flavor, or start your day with a cleansing hot lemon water, which we’re subscribers to and have been for years. A removable tea steeper basket is included for loose leaf tea, which we think is great since it allows you to sample some of your purest or favorite blends. We even tried limes with an organic white tea for something a little different! The great thing about it is that you have lots of options to choose from and the sky is the limit.

How It Works!

Simply unscrew the bottom cup of the Zinger, flip the vessel on the top cap, and lock in your favorite attachment. Next, press and twist your favorite ingredients. Replace the bottom cup, twisting tightly, and add water through the cap opening. You’re ready for your palette to be surprised. The bottle is 22 ounces and they use BPA/EA-free Eastman Tritan Plastic parts. There’s a removable citrus press, grater, and tea basket and of course, they’re all dishwasher safe.

Zing Anything’s complete lineup of flavor infusers, including the Citrus Zinger Biggie, Citrus Zinger Mini, Citrus Zinger Sport, Aqua Zinger, and Kid Zinger. Also available is a Salad, Tea and Vodka Zinger and a Zing 54 pitcher. Apparently, a new line of sleek infusion bottles called Zingo Clear will be introduced soon and I have to say, I’m a bit more than intrigued. More info can be found at http://www.zinganything.com/.
