We included the Kodak FZ152 in our 2017 Holiday Gift Guide because we loved the snazziness, size and features for the price point. This compact fun-looking camera from Kodak made it a fabulous choice for the holiday season but also as any occasion gift idea.
First off, we love the small size and the fact that it offers quite a lot of useful features without breaking the wallet. The Kodak FZ152 includes Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 24 mm wide angle, 720p HD video and a 15x Optical Zoom and….it comes in both red and black. (bravo!!)
Kodak FZ152: Simplicity at its Core
Simplicity is what this camera touts above and beyond. We love that there’s a 24 mm wide angle lens so you have a more sizeable frame to work with when you’re traveling.
They also have a nice 3” LCD, so you can get a reasonable idea of what you just took without having to wait until you export them all over to Lightroom or whatever your favorite photo editing tool may be.
The built in HDR is there to help you enhance photos when they need a little more “pop.” And, of course its 15x optical zoom combined with the wide angle option makes it a perfect travel camera.
Not all point and shoots have a Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) baked in, but this sweet LZ152 does — truth be told, I use it all the time on my Canon 7D. When you’re traveling, things aren’t always going to be so smooth when you’re trying to get that perfect shot so OIS certainly helps. Think bumpy bus rides, speeding trains and cars, or when you’re out in a boat trying to capture beauty around you.
Another great feature worth mentioning is the 180 degree panoramic view ability — this will be particularly useful for nature photographers or those who love to get landscape views of their activities.
We loved this add-on because it adds to the flexibility you can get with this camera not to mention the range of shooting options you have in such a small device.
The Kodak LZ152 camera produces 16 megapixel photos, comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and is available over on Amazon. Additionally, there’s a wrist strap, an AC adapter, a charge Sync cable and a Quick Start Guide. Two thumbs up!!
