The male cheetah’s shoulder blades sat high as his belly dropped to the ground. There was little cover in the recently burnt area, but he was skillfully approaching a herd of impala. Completely oblivious to his presence…we were poised for the chase! There was nothing that could stop him; except for the 15 giraffe that were walking in his direction.
Their periscopes meant that they spied him from far away. Their inquisitive nature meant the end of the hunt for the cheetah. The journey had given away his position. Regretfully the cheetah sunk down, lying low on the carpet of lush green grass. He looked frustrated! The giraffe did not stop there. They grouped together and approached him. The tightly knit group of giraffe proceeded to chase the cheetah away. It sure made for a spectacular scene. Enjoy…
