This week I was engrossed in Midwest living as I was on the move in the Midwest seeing my family. It included a lot of driving between Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. It also included homemade ice cream – cranked by hand – a family tradition that I hadn’t enjoyed for years. I made my way to my sister’s cabin on a lake in Wisconsin where I plan to spend the majority of August working on writing and other work projects.
