The Midwest Skies and Prairies in August

0

This week I was engrossed in Midwest living as I was on the move in the Midwest seeing my family.  It included a lot of driving between Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.  It also included homemade ice cream – cranked by hand – a family tradition that I hadn’t enjoyed for years.  I made my way to my sister’s cabin on a lake in Wisconsin where I plan to spend the majority of August working on writing and other work projects.

This is how you make icecream the old fashioned way. Churning by hand at my parent’s house in South Dakota.
