I grew up in upstate New York, so the Saratoga Racetrack was in my backyard so to speak and summers in the Adirondacks are magical. The Saratoga Racetrack is the oldest racetrack in the country and this year, they celebrate 150 years.
The 115th Saratoga Polo Tournament Season runs from July 12 to September 1 on Fridays and Sundays, with play for the Celebrate Saratoga Cup on July 12 and 14 at the Saratoga Polo Fields. The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will had a Racing Fan Education Program on July 13 with renowned thoroughbred racing handicapper Tom Amello.
As for the festivities for the Saratoga Racetrack, there will be races throughout August as always in Saratoga New York. Gates open at 11am on weekdays, 10:30am on weekends and 7am on August 24th. You can enter the track at 7am to claim picnic tables or put chairs out.
