Inventor Thomas Jacobs (played by Grimm‘s Sasha Roiz) invents a way to watch people’s memories from the inside. Going against his morals, he accepts an offer to enter a heroin addict’s memories to literally see if he committed a crime. However, a malfunction causes his consciousness to become trapped inside the criminal’s mind. He remains a prisoner in the addict’s memories for more than four years until he discovers the possibility of escape.

When he goes inside the mind of a heroin addict and accused criminal (I Am Not a Hipster‘s Dominic Bogart), he gets trapped until he figures out he may have a way out…..but to do so, he would have to traverse the memories of a man whose recollections are crumbling and unstable.

The director’s first feature, Extracted — which premieres March 10, 2012 at the South-by-Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) in Austin, TX — was made with a very small budget, likely under $1 million.   Location:  Fast Company Grill – Cedar Door, 201 Brazos Street in Austin (Cross: Brazos & second) *2-3 minute walk from Convention Center.
