This place brought back memories of my annual August blueberry picking trip at the Timberland Blueberry Farm in Caroga Lake. Somewhere in the middle of Oregon on our way from Portland to the coast, we saw a sign that said “Pick your own.” With the exception of a dog who didn’t seem to want to bark regardless of what we did, it was pretty isolated. There was a sign saying “grab a bucket and put your money in the open till.” We ended up with a box full of berries, large enough to last us the rest of the trip. Do we have to go back to the city?
