The 25th Annual Fairfield Tomato Festival is being held in Fairfield California from Saturday, August 20 to Sunday, August 21, 2016. Produced by the Fairfield Main Street Association, the two-day festival will include tomato eating contests, a salsa recipe competition, live entertainment on three stages, a carnival, classic car show, beer and wine gardens, food court, artisans and crafters, cooking demonstrations, and a number of fun activities for the children. And, of course, there will be plenty of tomatoes. Heirloom tomatoes and fresh produce will be available for purchase, along with tomato-related foods such as green fried tomatoes, tomato jam, and tomato-basil cupcakes.
