“I was once a hunter. Where? In my mom’s closet. It was the most exciting, colorful, and exotic amazon I’ve been to. Practically speaking, it was the best resource, better than ANY fashion magazine or runway.” FacelessNYer
We asked one of our favorite fashion divas on Twitter, FacelessNYer, to give us her three favorite pieces she’s most excited about right now.
Everyone loves some bling-bling. In my case, I am WAY into it, wish these were edible so I can be a firefly. I found these bags in Barneys, and momentarily went to a delusional party in my brain with it. That’s how I roll.
I met Victoria, who designed these gorgeous feather headpieces at a weekend flea market in Chelsea one day, and although I was temporarily out of cash at the moment I HAD to get it. (not only faceless, I am moneyless. ::sobs badly::) Her inspiration comes from theater costumes from the early 20th century, yet the style is very modern. This piece is MUCH better when you see it on my head, but I am also headless.
I am actually a very simple gal. I don’t really wear big jewelry much…until I spotted this in my favorite store in Greenwich Village. The owner let me try this Nepalese turquoise ring on (says my hand is pretty, you agree?) I personally like the teardrop shape, there’s something about it. Perhaps I think that way because I cry so easily.
Jessica Tiare Bowen lives in the juicy Big Apple with her adorable pink-nosed chihuahua, Gillman. He’s the inspiration for her first published children’s book, “Park Avenue Pound Puppy.” The book is the combined result of her two greatest passions: pooches and penning stories.
Her passions include art, urban hikes through Manhattan, drinking coffee with 3 creams and 6 sugars, making extremely detailed itineraries and traveling to far away places, singing along to Broadway shows, Netflix movie nights, discovering incredible treasures at Goodwill and thrift stores, and listening to stories from little people under 7 and big people over 70.
