The Harmony Festival is coming to Santa Rosa, CA from June 10-12, 2011. For 32 years, Harmony has been a leading-edge lifestyle festival that celebrates the latest trends in health, music, arts, ecology, and spirituality. Created and seasoned in the trend-setting North Bay Area of California, Harmony is an festival that appealed to the green lifestyle market. Over the past 5 years Harmony expanded into a major music festival and in 2009-10, Harmony added the Eco Rally Action Sports Skate Zone to attract younger folks.
Last year, the event attracted 35,000 people over the weekend where Slightly Stoopid and Ms. Lauryn Hill rocked the main field. They had an Eco Rally Skateboard Competition and a Harmony Tea House, which featured freshly made baked goods, teas, live jazz and sacred music in an intimate setting. A larger VIP area with amenities elevated our VIP experience.
They also have a very cool Eco-Village, which is a community service and activation portal that assists thousands in learning new hands-on skills, delivers the latest and most pertinent information from cutting-edge speakers and workshops, showcases, educational, green and holistic exhibits. They also provide real-time community building opportunities for restoring our ecosystems, culture, consciousness and the planet.
With the greening of America at the forefront of public awareness, they have integrated their Eco-Village offerings to include an entire holistic village that supports all the important aspects necessary to create a fully functional state of integrated awareness of mind, body spirit, action and environment.
Then there’s the Harmony Altar and Altar Zone, which symbolizes the love, beauty and truth that is co-created in their community through working together.
Think of it as a sacred meditation space. At the heart of the Altar Zone is the Harmony Altar, a completely interactive alter, wrapped in a rainbow of color, honoring all aspects of life, spirit and creation.
Since 2004, the Harmony Altar has been dedicated to presenting high vibrational information, while holding a meditation space inside a six-pointed Star Temple. Each year the Harmony Altar is created anew, bringing in current Spiritual information as an offering for the community. Harmony Altar has functioned as a sacred space for many artists in the community to present their work to the public in a beautiful oasis of creation.
