The Sausalito Art Festival is happening this weekend in Sausalito California. 270 artists throughout the United States exhibit and sell works ranging from painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramic, glass, fiber arts and fashion, wood, photography and mixed media. There’s top-flight musical entertainment on three stages, with food, beer, wine and more.
Music entertainment on Saturday includes Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks (folk/jazz/swing), America (pop), Mustache Harbor (pop), Laura Simpson (classical), Nicholas Glover and Wray (jazz/standards) and Deborah Winters Group (jazz).
On Sunday, Grass Roots (pop/rock) will play on the main stage followed by The Yardbirds (rock/blues) and Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone (pop/rock).
Additional performers include: Laurel Trio (classical), Hot House (jazz/dixieland), Swing Set (jazz/swing), Midi Matilda (rock), The Lemon Hammer (folk/blues), The Fixx (pop/rock), Smash Mouth (pop/rock), Romanza, Murasaki Ensemble (Japanese jazz), and Kellie Fuller and Mike Greensill (jazz/pop).
The festival is in its 60th year and will be held in Marinship Park adjacent to the Ferry landing, Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, September 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
