The Algarve is perhaps Portugal’s most widely renowned and best loved tourist area and with so much amazing scenery and reliably wonderful weather it is not difficult to understand why. The region in the southern reaches of the country draws sun-seeking holidaymakers from across Europe to its towns, villages and purpose-built resorts in their tens of thousands each and every year.
Keeping it affordable is as simple as heading online and carrying out some research into the available resorts, hotels and apartments. You can choose from any number and variety of accommodation types, with families always well catered for and plenty of out-of-the-way places for couples to settle into for a week or so. Either way, the Algarve is a really excellent place to relax, unwind and spend some quality time with people you love.
If you’re looking for somewhere charming and cheerful to visit in the Algarve then perhaps Monte Gordo could be worth considering, or if you’d like to add a little historic interest to your trip then somewhere like the old Moorish village of Alvor could be perfect. You are always going to find yourself surrounded by stunning scenery wherever you visit in the region but there are few more amazing destinations to check out than Carvoeiro, where beaches, bays, waves and cliffs create the archetypal Algarvian vista.
There is a huge amount to investigate, experience and enjoy that for many people the Algarve really is the very best place to holiday in Europe.
