Let’s face it, indoor garden dining experiences are all the rage in Taipei lately. I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of any place nicer to dine than among plants in a quiet and chilled out spot that I can enjoy with my husband.
Over the past year, we’ve been to a number of restaurants for that garden dining experience, and today we’re going to dive into the EPL (Eat, Pray, Love — yes, really) Steakhouse and Lounge.
Garden Dining in Taipei
EPL (Eat, Play, Love) is a fairly new garden dining concept restaurant in Taipei. It’s a surf and turf restaurant that offers the same high quality seafood that can be found at Shrimp Daddy, but there is a little something for everyone on their menu, including vegan pasta and a very special bartender named CJ who can come up with anything your heart desires.
All you have to do is tell him your base alcohol and he’ll come up with a cocktail creation that will satisfy your taste buds.
The portions at EPL are huge and you get great value for your money. My husband loved the steak the night we visited, but I think most customers will be impressed with the Mini Seafood Tower. I’ve never seen anything quite like it and the little extra touches that the restaurant adds in to remind their guests to EPL are well thought out and add a nice touch to your dining experience.
(I’m also really interested in trying their lobster Mac and Cheese, which is something we didn’t have time to try the night we visited.)
EPL Taipei is a modern take on garden dining with fine dining cuisine a casual comfortable and oh so romantic garden dining environment with fresh steak and some of the best seafood in town.
If you’re looking for a restaurant that takes you out of the city and into a garden dining oasis, EPL is a great choice with its delicious food and romantic atmosphere.
