Lizards are everywhere in Dakar, in every color of the rainbow. As I told Josh, I would rather have 10 lizards in my house than a single spider or cockroach. Can we make that trade, Mother Nature? We haven’t seen any lizards in the apartment yet (and, luckily, only a few big bugs, all of which were already dead), but the dogs have been startled by them a few times outside. They’re pretty skittish little critters, but now that my long lens has arrived from the States, I’m hoping to get more close-ups.
