Le Grand Tasting in Paris — a k a the Great Wines Fair — offers connoisseurs and novices the opportunity to taste 350 of the best French and European domains. Organized by Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve, two wine authorities, it takes place on Dec. 2 and 3 at the Carrousel du Louvre (99 rue de Rivoli; carrouseldulouvre.com).
Labels like Veuve Clicquot and Louis Latour; wine-world stars like Hervé Bizeul and Marcel Richaud; and newcomers including Beaucastel, Pichon Comtesse, Angélus and Chateau de Bellet are among the participants this year.
Visitors will get the chance to attend master classes with wine producers and members of the Bettane and Desseauve team. Krug, Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot and Bollinger are just a few of the appellations that will contribute.
