Muizenberg has great facilities designed to please you and your whole family. For the kids especially there are a number of activities to choose from to while the day away. The Putt Putt course and Super Tubes (water slides) are the perfect two places in the seaside suburb to get the children out of the house, into the sunshine and doing something active. Both activities are enjoyed thoroughly by all ages, and are great ideas for birthday parties or family outings.
The Putt Putt course is located just behind the beach, next to the Super Tubes. There is a selection of two 18-hole courses, the Blue Course and the Orange Course. The courses require some focus and concentration, with the last holes for both being a tough steep one. Whether you’ve got luck on your side or actual putt-putting skill, you’ll enjoy spending a few hours on the course. If you want to find out more information call them on 021 788 8800
Both the Orange and the Blue Course are fairly challenging with various obstacles and slopes to overcome. The course is an open-air one, so can only be enjoyed in mild to warm weather, and the best is on a sunny day – make sure you bring along your costume cause after the game you can go cool off in the sea or at the super tubes.
The rides at Muizenberg WaterSlide provide children, teenagers and adults with hours of fun and entertainment during the summer months. You can either purchase single rides or pay by hour, and try each slide out as many times as you can fit in that time.
There is a smaller and gentle slide for the younger kiddies with a shallow pool for them to land safely. The “Camel slide” (so named for its Hump) is a straight line up and down ride while the big slide is the most popular with older kids and adults.
With a grassy area, some park-style benches, toilets and an old-school tuckshop store, the area is user friendly for hours of enjoyment. If you want to find out more call them on 021 788 4759
