Of course I knew about Kensington’s computer accessories and even some of their ergonomic solutions, which I wrote about recently, but I didn’t realize they had anything “stylish” in their line. While they do carry useful and more functional roller bags and backpacks, they also have a chic tote which any woman would love to use for her geek gear. What’s nice about this Jacqueline LM650 Laptop & Tablet Tote fom Kensington is that while it’s designed to fit your laptop or tablet (or both), there’s still plenty of space for other things. AND, it’s incredibly organized.
The bag is much larger than it looks and I was surprised by how spacious it was when it arrived. The full-size carry bag is made of dermal faux leather and comfortably holds up to a 15.6-inch laptop and up to a 12-inch tablet in a dedicated, padded compartment.
I had hoped it came in leather of course, but the nice thing about faux leather is that you don’t have to worry about the exterior so much if it rains. There are multiple other pockets to store your personal items including a security pocket for smartphones. A luggage pass-thru strap allows you to securely fasten your tote to retracting handles on rolling luggage which is a MUST feature for any traveler.
Another sweet feature we loved was the beautiful center clasp, which can be utilized to keep your carry items from accidentally falling out. An additional plus for women travelers are the dual straps, which give you additional strength and comfort, so you can either throw over your shoulder and hang off your arm while you’re on the move. I also loved the fact that the internal material was in a vibrant orange (I personally think they should add purple or pink and blue options as well), because the color really pops and makes the bag fun as well as functional.
Below, you can see just how roomy this stylish bag is, one of the biggest surprises for us when we started packing it up with additional items. The clasp across the top adds extra safety for anyone wanting to steal your laptop when you’re not looking at a busy airport or train station. I also like the fact that it doesn’t look like a classic laptop bag and yet has specific compartments to keep your tech gear secure and in place while you’re on the go.
Two thumbs up! We were on the fence about which products to review first but glad we included this Jacqueline Tote since it’s a great combination of functional and style, which are key ingredients we love here over at We Blog the World.
