Hawaii Photos: Flowers, Trees & Wildlife That Will Blow You Away…

Comments Off on Hawaii Photos: Flowers, Trees & Wildlife That Will Blow You Away…

While the Hawaiian islands are a great place to go for a romantic holiday and relax at a resort, the state also offers a number of natural places to get away from all the things you’d find in a resort too. There is so much natural beauty, wildlife and fauna diversity, that you could spend a month jumping from island to island going on hikes, seaside walks and staring at trees and birds.

Given how much I travel and the fact that Hawaii is a shorter flight for me than most (California), I’ve always wanted to spend more time seeking and learning what each island has to offer and what magic it wants to leave behind.

The Big Island has been high on my list for years, largely because I’ve heard so much about its interior, lush rainforests on one hand with lava earth on the other, all of which can be found within an hour or two drive.

Below are some of my favorite shots from the natural beauty I was fortunate to experience on a recent Spring trip to Maui and Hawaii, the Big Island. Two visuals which stand out in my mind again and again now that I’ve back to city life on the mainland are the Rainbow Eucalyptus tree and the stunning Jade flower.

From anthuriums, azaleas, bougainvillea, bromeliads, crinums, gingers, heliconias, hibiscus, orchids, plumeria, bougainvillea, bird of paradise, ferns, shrubs, and banana trees to cattleyas, dendrobiums, phalaenopsis, vandas,  Brazilian cherries, breadfruit, cashew, cinnamon, citrus, jack fruit, sapote, longan, lychee, macadamia, miracle fruit, ohia, palms of many types, papaya, paradise nuts to live volcanoes and countless species of birds, the richness of Hawaii will blow you away.

Are you ready for a visual journey that will bring into all things surreal, fantasy, luscious, beautiful, vibrant, stunning and magical?
