We were recently introduced to TUK watches, which is an elegant watch line with a variety of options to choose from for both men and women. Below are a few choices for men — note the casual choice on the left versus more luxe designs with leather bands in the middle and right.
TUK Watches for Women: Leather Bands with Both Gold & Silver Rims
Here are a few options for women with leather straps — note that there are several colors to choose from, including a deep rich brown, black, blue, olive green, gray and more.
TUK Watches for Women: The Ruwa
We were given the opportunity to test out the TUK Watch line, so opted to start with the Ruwa, which is available for both men and women. What a gorgeous choice right? The Ruwa has a stunning black face, petite rose gold detailing and a silky interchangeable coffee leather band. Note that all TUK watches have elegant packaging as well – see the beautiful black box below, which includes instructions about the watch and a place to store it in between trips.
The Ruwa comes in a Rose Gold 316L Stainless Steel Case, has a Swiss Ronda Movement, offers a Scratch Resistant Sapphire Glass and is 5 ATM water resistance. I’ve been wearing it at home and while working – you can so easily dress this one up or down, depending on the occasion.
Waterproof
All TUK watches meet the international standards for 5 ATM (atmospheres of pressure) water proofing — this is a godsend and frankly, a must for avid travelers, especially adventure enthusiasts.
TUK Watches for Women: The Dlo
While we opted for a black face, TUK also offers options with a white face, such as the Dlo. This beautiful watch has stainless steel detailing and a lovely olive leather band, making it a perfect choice for trips as it can go with so many outfits — dressy and casual. It comes in 32 or 40 mm and is encased in 316L Stainless Steel. The Dlo has a Swiss movement, uses Sapphire glass and like the others, is 5 ATM water resistance, which is so handy on the road.
TUK Watches for Women: The Vesi
If you love gold, then the Vesi is for you. This watch design is more elegant and upscale, making it a great option for those dressier occasions. It comes with a petite white face and rose gold detailing with a silky smooth mesh band. We think the Vesi works well for dinner out on the town, a business meeting or even with jeans and a dressy top or sweater. It’s definitely a stunner!
Giving Back
TUK actually means water in Cambodian and there’s a reason for it. The folks at TUK watches design and create high quality minimal watches, while also making an impact on safe water initiatives with every watch purchased.
Kelsey Braun and Sasha Juliard started from scratch in an apartment in Austin, Texas. The duo moved to Colorado where they designed their newest line of high-end, minimalist watches. Every order of TUK watches provide a water filter to a school classroom in Cambodia so children have access to safe drinking water at school. You can check hashtag #watchchangehappen for some of their activities on social media.
TUK watches partnered with RDIC (Resource Development International Cambodia) who makes low cost yet effective and durable water filtration systems & support the local economy by hiring and producing their filters locally.
The water filters are made from locally sourced materials at a factory near Phnom Pehn and is locally staffed. We love this initiative! For more information, including how to order, visit their website for all available TUK watches for both men and women.
