Justin Jensen at Cinetics wanted something he could move smoothly alongside a subject, create smooth, straight or circular tracking shots, as well as something portable. This wish list lead him to the idea to put a GorillaPod Focus on wheels. He took super-smooth wheels that only need a simple push or pull to get the seamless tracking shot. The one question that seems to continue being brought up in regards to this product is its’ ability to roll and remain smooth on uneven surfaces. The product is in the beginning phases and still taking in product funding, however CineSkates was seen at SXSW this past March in Austin.
