Recently, Hui-chen and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We decided to spend it at the newly-built Sheraton Hotel in Jubei.
The room we stayed in was on the 21st floor. That is the top floor for rooms. There is a club on the 22nd floor for the exclusive use of guests on the 20th and 21st “club level” floors. Our room was luxurious and spacious.
Wide-screen HD TV plus a DVD player in the bottom cabinet.
The mini bar and the desk. I didn’t bring my computer but there is free wifi in each room.
This is a shot into the glass bathroom from the main room.
Another shot of the bathroom. The bathtub is enclosed in glass.
The view from the inside of the bathroom.
And the view of the main room from the glass bathroom.
We had fun jumping in this huge bed!
This is the view outside of our window (sorry about the funny color – the glass is tinted).
We decided to eat dinner in the club upstairs (sorry but we didn’t catch the name of the club). This is the hallway outside of our room.
This is the view east (towards the high-speed rail) from the top floor club.
The club is very nicely appointed. Plus, the TV is not too loud!
The setup at the Sheraton is interesting, because if you stay on the top 2 floors in the hotel, everything in this club is free. While they don’t have the wide selection of food like the restaurant does, the top floor club is a nice place to hang out and the food they do serve is quite good.
This is a good example of one of the dishes, braised boneless beef ribs. It was as good as it looks.
This is a shot of the food area from our table. All food and beverages, including beer and cocktails are complimentary for guests on the top 2 floors.
Our last shot is the dessert service. These were very good!
Overall, our experience at the Sheraton Jubei was positive and we really enjoyed being there. They have a promotion going on until May 31st, so you’d better hurry if you want to check it out at reduced prices. They still have a few wrinkles to iron out (such as the breakfast buffet) but they’ll get there. After all, they just opened and it’s a huge operation. I also would like to say that I checked out the construction of our room and everything is top class. You’ll enjoy your stay too.
