“So much of what we call abnormality in this culture is actually normal responses to an abnormal culture.  The abnormaility does not reside in the pathology of individuals, but in the very culture that drives people into suffering and dysfunction.” —Dr. Gabor Maté

Listen to a message from SAND founders Zaya and Maurizio. They speak about trauma and the intricacies of it as well as the implications. In other words, people tend to think of trauma as something related to a big event, such as death of a child, war, rape or being the victim of violence but in reality, the impact of trauma is much more subtle.

“Help us break the cycles of trauma.” Maurizio and Zaya

By becoming a supporter in any way that you are able, you will help them bring the movie to larger audiences and broaden the understanding of how trauma impacts our lives. All of our lives.

Maurizio and Zaya Bennazo speak about trauma and ask for your support to extend this message, the movie and the week long series to a much wider audience.
