You all know Queensland to be the home of the Great Barrier Reef, but there’s a lot of Queensland you probably haven’t seen before. It’s diverse in activities (beaches and mountains) and , less touristed! It’s not where all the tourists are going – you blaze your own trail – and I love that! I sadly finished my week at #Room753 and bid it farewell. I picked up a travel partner for a couple of days, and we drove out to the Granite Belt to a town called Stanthorpe. Stanthorpe is home to Alure – a remarkable glamping (luxury camping) experience, wineries, fruit farms, and dairy farms. The perfect fall get away in the Southern hemisphere!
Anyone want to share office space w/ me? There’s room at the table! My office today. #Room753
In the shadow of skyscrapers. Who needs a beach umbrella when you have the buildings of #SurfersParadise !
One of the best times to surf is at sunset. The waters around Coolangatta beach were full of surfers waiting for the right wave.
Picking our seats for opera on the beach. Tonight is a performance of The Magic Flute – with crashing waves for accompaniment. #Room753
Back to roughing it in the country with Alure Stanthorpe! #Glamping in Stanthorpe – the wine country of @queensland . This tent is nicer than most homes!
Fall colors in the #GraniteBelt are at their peak! Southern hemisphere autumn!
Wine tasting in the Granite Belt today!
