People Come to Banos Because……

People come to Banos Ecuador for the Basilica, the famous hot springs, the scenery and the accessability to the jungle via Puyo and Misahuallí. They also come for the blend of European and South America and $20 massages. Tungurahua, also known as “The Black Giant,” is the largest volcano in Ecuador yet the most easily climbed, since Baños is already set on its hillside.  The town is also bursting at the seams with food, art, culture, nature and serenity.
