Next time you’re in Paris, be sure to check out the below three restaurants if you’re open to having your mouth water from beginning to end. There’s no shortage of great food in Paris, and there are plenty of places to hang your hat but somewhere along the way, give these a try and let us know what you think.

Restaurant Le Jardinier: It was written that a restaurant owner with the soul of an interior decorator, Catherine Fumaz adapts the décor of her restaurant near the Grands Boulevards in the 9th district to the passing of time. I love it. She combines the Haussmann-style setting of the establishment with fabrics, colors and ornaments and while she applies her creativity to the dining room and decor, her husband Stéphane is the chef that wows the crowd with seasonal flavors and elegance.  It is located on 5 rue Richer in Paris.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A few sample things on the menu include the following appetizers: tartelette de légumes sur concassé de tomate, sauce pistou, oeuf bio pané et frit, fricassée d’écrevisses aux champignons des bois, mousse d’asperges vertes sur chair de crabe aux oeufs de harengs fumés, poêlée d’escargots sur royale de persil with émulsion de champignons and foie gras de canard mi-cuit et gelée de framboises, cristallines au poivre de Séchouan.

For main courses, options include Saint-Jacques en croûte de noix sur fondue de poireaux et émulsion au cidre, lasagnes de lotte, tomates confites et copeaux d’artichauts, petits farcis d’agneau, sablé au parmesan et roquette à l’huile d’argan and onglet de boeuf à la tapenade, gâteau gratiné de macaroni au jambon et petits légumes.

And for dessert, there’s soufflé, mousse coco (with pineapple and white chocolate sauce), Crêpes Suzette caramélisées à l’orange et flambées au Grand-Marnier and Moelleux au chocolat noir dans sa spère, son velouté et sa glace café. YUM!

La Ferme Saint-Simon: As soon as you step into the Ferme Saint Simon situated in the 7th district, you’re ready for an entire “foodie” evening.  The warm atmosphere of the restaurant is confirmed by the attentive yet professional welcome. The style is most definitely traditional “French” and it is located on 6 rue de Saint-Simon in the 7’eme. The chef of the restaurant is Ali Iguidlane and the wwner of the restaurant is Dario Dondelli.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Le Petite Cour: Yannick Tessier is a talented young chef with complete and joyful mastery of his light and modern French fine-dining. La Petite Cour is not just one of the most attractive terraces in the 6th district, but also an excellent restaurant in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés where you should always book ahead since it’s a fairly busy location. It is located on 8 rue Mabillon in Paris 6ème.

Appetizer menu choices include a soft-boiled egg with Burgundy-style oxtail, Terrine of duck liver with roasted pineapple, Slice of smocked duck breast fillet pineapple tartare and Soupe d’asperges vertes, toast à la crème de citron. Main courses include: Lobster seared, gnocchi, lobster sauce, Roasted New York steak & duck foie gras with rock salt, Côtes d’agneau poêlées, polenta frite, jus au beurre Tandoori and Roasted fillet chicken breast, octopus with chicken juice.
Bistro du Sommelier: Philippe Faure-Brac, elected Best Wine Steward in the World in 1992, is passionate about pairing the right wine with each and every dish that leaves the kitchen. The goal in this type of venture, located in the 8th district, is to elevate the traditional cuisine to a level worthy of very fine Burgundy wines or divine bottles of Pauillac and Margaux.
